This is a very important question is twofold if you're using a dry compound like the chromium green and then you go to a blue moon Venice you can use mineral spirits to wipe down the black in between procedures but if you are using A brown Tripoli compound then you go to a green finish you will definitely have to do an acid wash a.k.a. aluminum Breitner wash in between your procedures because if you don't you're going to get burn marks from the dry compound cutting over the oils and binders from the previous process
