This ride hasn't travelled in ages...do Bell's opt not to travel with it in favour of Ice Jet? Cause not gonna lie i kinda miss this one, it's a piece of australian amsuement history!
Sounds like he was playing a country music love song when it was going backwards. If I were the ride operator, I would be blasting hip hop or hard rock on that sound system.
FunfairsAus Chants Rock N Roll Matterhorn was clocked at 192.4KM/h in 2017 at the Royal Adelaide Show and this is faster than the RnR. I know because I was riding it at the time. 😳 The Thunderbolt was clocked at 209KM/h on the same day. That makes one travel at 120mph (RnR) and the other goes almost 133mph. However, it’s dangerous and too taxing on the machine to run these at full speed for any great length of time. Therefore while it’s possible for these machines to run exceedingly fast, the operators tend not to.
@@C21L01 "Therefore while it’s possible for these machines to run exceedingly fast, the operators tend not to" - heh I wonder if $50 might change their mind :D Either way though of course the Adelaide Show has been canned again this year so it'll be a while before I get to try bribing any carnies lol

Was clocked in at 160km/h one year, but that was back when the ride had it hydraulic drives - not sure how quick it goes now.
@@funfairsaus6858 I rode it this year at the Canberra show on last Friday and it felt slower then the last time I rode it in 2017
