As far as the history aspect goes, you missed out the vintage ride that most resembled the modern matterhorns. They were originally called Mont Blanc rides, but were also renamed Airways in the UK. As far as I’m aware, there are no original versions remaining (certainly not in the UK), but photos and models can certainly be found. Also, if you ever get the chance, the Moonrocket at Dingles is a fun ride. There’s even a book entirely dedicated to it!
@@CoasterCollege Fairground history in the UK is a pretty niche subject that’s not widely documented, so it’s not so surprising that you might have missed it. It’s a shame that none of the original Mont Blanc/Airways seem to have been preserved as they looked to be impressive machines. Thanks for the series overall…and have a great season!
This is one of the first rides I rode as a kid. It was enclosed, called the Himalayan, fully winter mountain-themed with skiers and a painted abominable snowman, had the swinging cars, and the ride operator had control. Because it was the early ‘70s the soundtrack was high-energy disco. It was an amazing ride!
This has to be the number 1 flat ride it’s not all that thrilling but when you’re on this you can’t help but scream your head off and be overwhelmed with joy and laughter and it’s literally a ride for the entire family the Matterhorn will stand strong for generations to come!!!
In the UK You simply cannot beat Ice Jet.... The way it's looked after and run at such speeds. With amazing light and sound package. Enjoy the new season and thank you.
YES I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE! These have been my favorite flat ride since I was a kid and they had one at the LA County Fair where it had the cover that would go over your head as strobe lights went off. Super fun
mine too but as i got older it started making me feel sick as i got into my 20s i had to use motion sickness pills when going to carnivals or amusement parks now in my 30s as long as i use Dramamine iam ok takes the edge off the nausea .
I loved the lights and the music these rides would play. Alas, as a 7 year old I wasn’t allowed to ride these kids if flying bobs. Not sure why because a year later Magic Mountain had a Bayern Kurve and a Himalayan and I got to ride those! But then again I was with my aunt at Magic Mountain and not my mom so…
There's really nothing like the feeling and the atmosphere of being on a matterhorn or a himalaya after the sun has gone down at a seedy county fair with the music and horns and lights going crazy
This video gives me so much nostalgia! The traveling fair that came to my city every year as a kid had a Flying Bobs and it was my absolute favourite ride. Even though my dad didn’t love it so much he would take me on it over and over and swing the car back and forth to make it more exciting.
I first rode a basic Himalaya as a toddler at “The Land Of Make Believe”. It was fun because it had a cute background and a mirror ball in the center. That was probably 1994-1995. In 1995-1996 I rode a “Super Himalaya” at the Flemington Fair and a “Musik Express” at The Great Escape in Lake George. Lake George had an “Action Park” and this was my first Flying Bobsled (Matterhorn). It hypnotized me. Where Musik Express rides used links and yellows and oranges, the Flying Bobsled was white, blue, purple, and SPIT FOG along with music. It was so intense. It wrecked my sisters stomach and my mom hated it. But I loved it.
I know I am a bit late here as you posted this a couple of years ago but thanks for covering these famous flats. When I think of Matterhorn I think of the Disney Bob sled coaster and my first real roller coaster. I remember being at some carnival or fair when I was a young child and seeing a flying Bob ride. In fact that is what it was called. Flying Bobs. I also remember my mom not allowing me to ride it. “That’s not for kids!” She said even though I did see some older kids riding it. When I say older I mean maybe 12 and older. I was only 7 years old at the time. I do remember watching it and wanting to ride it but to no avail. It was onk because I was allowed to ride Disney’s Matterhorn and at the time that was a big deal. Of course maybe a year later I got to ride a Bayern Kurve ride known as Swiss Twist at Magic Mountain. I rode with my aunt at the time and it was scary but it also became a favorite! They had a Himalayan too! That rode frontward and them backwards. Then I moved up to bigger scarier roller coasters like Revolution when I was 10 years old and then Colossus in 1980 at 12 years old. Watching these videos brings back memories when I felt pure unbridled joy!
I’m so glad I subscribed to this channel! I loved going on all rides when I was young and how I really miss the adventures! Due to heart complications I can’t enjoy the thrill any longer! My favorites were the Swiss bob the Enterprise and the Zipper along with the roller coasters. And it’s sad! Im not old!!! I could have still enjoyed the rides and I’m surrounded by all these rides here in my home town. Hay everyone, take a ride for me!…Peace to you all!
I used to operate a Bertazzon Matterhorn at the Columbus Zoo. It was fun, but we didn't allow riders to rock the seats, so the quality of the ride was dependent on the speed. We operated it on a slower setting, but we had an employee ride night and they kicked it up to one of the faster cycles and it was pretty great. Still, one of my favorites to operate.
@@CoasterCollege My best guess is because the height requirements were increased for the faster setting, and the park is oriented toward families. What’s interesting is it already had a mid-range requirement. I think I turned down more children for that ride than any other 😂.
Hell yeah! These are my favorite flat rides ever! From the fairs in my hometown, to now living in Orlando between the two Funspots! These are the best!

Here's my current wishlist for future FROTW videos (updated now that 'Matterhorn' has been done): Trabant / Hully Gully - this was mentioned in a previous video, and I look forward to seeing it. Rainbow / 1001 Nacht Paratrooper Orbiter Miami Hurricane . [old-school and/or unique] Boomerang ... I remember seeing this at Casino Pier a LONG time ago, when I was too young for such things 'Sidewheeler' (or maybe 'Sidewinder') ... looking a bit like the inner workings of a watch, this one-of-a-kind SFGA installation was something to see
Trabant is high on our list too. I tried looking into Boomerang at Casino Pier and I could find nothing, unless you know of somewhere where I can find more info it will likely never be covered. Sidewinder looks like it may be a decent ride to cover, we probably should have mentioned it in our scrambler video. It may get its own episode.
@@CoasterCollege I’m not surprised this one was difficult to locate. There were several different types of rides with the name “Boomerang”. This was an “Old School” Flat Ride. It operated at Casino Pier, Seaside Heights, NJ some time in the late ‘70s - early ‘80s. I remember it having 4 padded Tubs that could fit about 4 riders each. When all of the Tubs were filled, the Operator would push each Tub out to a turntable where it would hook onto one of the spokes coming out from the middle. After all the tubs were hooked up, the Operator would start the ride and the Tubs would be going in a circle with some very heavy positive Gs. The speed would gradually increase until the Operator would release one of the Tubs at the proper moment to go through a Horseshoe shaped tunnel where the Tub would collide with one side of the walls to the other, until it made it back to the station. Another of the remaining Tubs would then be released in the same fashion. You never knew exactly when the Operator would release one of the Tubs, so the anticipation would keep growing until that moment. It operated in other Parks that are long gone now, another I recall operated at Bertrand Island Park at Lake Hopatcong, NJ., which closed in 1983.
My favourite Matterhorn rides are the ones made by Reverchon. They had one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach called Phantom Chase where the cars flipped upside down on one hill. It seems to depend on the shock absorber system in use. The Reverchon Explorer is a great variation.
In Argentina, we had 2 Matterhorns in two of the biggest theme parks in the country in the 80s-90s. People here remember the ride a lot because of an unfortunate accident that happened in the park “Italpark” that caused the d*ath of a 16 year old girl when one of the ride gondolas came off. The park closed after that. And the other remaining Matterhorn is also not operating anymore as that park was also closed. Very interesting video!
I'm not sure if someone mentioned this already, but the ride caterpillar tht you mentioned at the beginning of this video, there is one Salem New Hampshire , at canobie lake park and it does have the curtain tht encloses over the cars
Great video as always 😎👍🏾 There is only one Herschell Flying Bobs I know of that still operates, and that's the one at Indiana Beach, which came from Coney Island Cincinnati. The easy way to tell a Chance and a Herschell apart is the guide wheel and track placement. The guide wheels and track are placed behind the scenery closer to the middle of the trailer on Chance models, whereas the Herschell models has the track and guide wheels readily visible (the track is much bigger around). Mack Matterhorns are my favorite ones because they're simultaneously smooth and fast. Cedar Point toned down the ride cycle of their Matterhorn, but the Matterhorn at Geauga Lake (called Matterhorn at first, then Yukon Yahoo and then HayBaler) positively FLEW. It had to go at least 13 rpm. I'm not a fan of the Chance models because the seats swing a little TOO much for my taste and it's a much rougher ride. The smoothest Chance one I've ever been on was Talley's Big Kahuna, which is a rethemed Thunder Bolt, which you actually have in the video. There are quite a few that come to Ohio, such as Durant Amusements' Flying Bobs, Lisko's Music Fest, Burton Brothers used to bring a Rock N Roll to some of their fairs, Talley now brings Big Kahuna, PrimeTime brings an Alpine Bobs to some events. We didn't used to have this many Flying Bobs rides until just a few years ago. I'm also not much of a fan of the Bertazzon model either, although they do look cool. The Columbus Zoo has had a Bertazzon Matterhorn since 2008 called Safari Stampede, but they run it very slow. Ohio State Fair used to have a Bertazzon Matterhorn called Rock N Roll. Has the same problem that I feel the Chance models have, seats swing too much and it's just not a smooth ride. I'd probably have to ride a faster one to change my mind.
I’m lucky enough to have a Reverchon machine travelling in my area and that thing is ran fantastically. Also, there’s another Reverchon one on Central Pier in Blackpool that has to be the most insane one I’ve ridden to date. Yes, it may not have the atmosphere of the legendary Ice Jet but I thought I was going to end up in the sea when it went maximum power. If anyone has some spare time when in Blackpool, get yourself on Flying Bob. Yes, it may not currently have a cover and half the flash is missing but it was in a fire a couple years ago and is running like new again so the more money you spend riding it the better!
Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park in Coney Island, NY has a Flying Bobs that they call Thunderbolt. Not to be confused with the roller coaster a few blocks away also called Thunderbolt.
Nice video! Been wanting this for a long time so glad to see these awesome rides explained. I know you're probably not going to do another video until the season is over but I would love to see a future video on Techno Powers and the Zamperla Air Race
YES! This has always been like my favorite flat ride to go on at my local State Fair. It's called Snow Bobs or something and I really enjoy the laterals. Edit: I think the one that I ride is a newer model of the Chance Rides version. It feels like it goes really fast, you almost go sideways at the top of the hills. Also the vehicles are pretty easy to swing by shifting your weight from one side of the cart to the other. Unfortunately you're always told to not rock it back and forth. This year when I go to my State Fair, I'm going to ride every ride in the "big kids"/"adults" area and try to ask the op about the manufacturer and model of the attraction!
I've ridden the flying bobs in Funspot Kissimmee. Haven't been over there in years but when I went it was fun. These kind of rides you'll see me go back on and on multiple times if there's a short line which there usually is
Wow thanks for the history of the Matterhorn we in Australia have had different kinds of matterhorns though out the years from the thunderbolt to the Rock. And roll which has a jukebox
I love my local matterhorn, mine at the local park (rock n' roll at Oaks Park) is awesome with the operator actually speaking through the PA informing the riders. The low-impact nature and being able to cycle 20-30 guests per ride cycle makes it awesome to do repeat runs on compared to other rides that are more popular, have less capacity and longer queues. Thanks for the tip on trying to rock the coaster that is something that I can try next time I go ride on it. One coaster you could do for a future ride of the week is Squirrel Cage / Rock-O-Plane , which is also at my local park and is super popular here compared to other ride offerings at the park.
the matterhorn rides are so simple but so intense and so exciting! my favourite one is the Snow Jet! there’s two of them owned by the same owner and they are both at Winter Wonderland in London this year!
Really interesting video! I've been on 2 different Matterhorn rides so far. One of them was at a fair in the spring, many years ago. The other one was the Ice Jet at Canobie Lake Park, but it was operated a little slower than the other one that I've been on.
I rode the original matterhorn at canobie. That one was the fastest it was nuts the cars would literally almost go completley upside down cause of the speed that it was operated at, sad that it had to go but its a legend in New England.
At Indiana Beach they now have a Allen Herschel flying bob's. It's the only one known to exist as far as I know. The cars don't swing as much as a Chance bob's. The Herschel model is a little rough and moves faster. But still fun
Great episode as always! I rode the Shakers mentioned by Alex last year in Luxembourg, and it was a really intense ride with violent swinging - we had an absolute blast \m/
I’ve rode quite a few Matterhorn rides. They’re short but fun. I like how soothing the rides feel when you go around the hill. I think Six Flags MM has at least one of two rides like this, plus a few more classics mentioned by you on this channel.
I actually road a catapiller type ride last month at the San diego county fair and was completely baffled by it. If anyone ever gets the chance to ride one they are so much fun.
I rode a modified wooden caterpillar ride with seesaw gondolas(cars) in the 90s in a high school fair. Two people max on each side of the ride and the seesaw action depended on humps and how you would lean backwards.
Hello and thank you for creating such an amazing series! I would like to recommend some rides. Zamperla air race Rock-o-plane Roll-o-plane Chance rides chaos Chance rides trabant Ferris wheel Carousel That’s all I have. Love your channel man!
I've been on 1 Flying Bobs model, Rock and Roll at Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. It was fun, barely pulled positives, and kinda made my dizzy.
7:10 is Sleighride at Six Flags Darien Lake which was recently refurbished during the pandemic (I'm not sure if it's still running forward and backwards though, anyone know?) along with the Pirate!
Flying bobs was popular in the states and it’s what I usually saw in carnivals and parks throughout the 80’s and 90’s. Alpine bobs I started seeing around in the late 90’s. I’m not sure if alpine was faster and swung more but it didn’t appeal as much to me it was more colorful and polished than the flying bobs but I like the flying bobs more. Not sure if it was for the better swinging, sound and bigger hills it felt or for nostalgic reasons
I've ridden these twice before the one at Cedar Point & the one at the State Fair of Texas but the problem is, you don't get much airtime on those Matterhorn rides but, with the Music Express rides you do get some airtime.
a little tip for Alex. use some sort of sound proofing when you record. right now you have a lot of echo which makes it harder to understand what you are saying. a closet full of clothes makes a really effective recording booth if you have no other options. You guys did a great job on the series and I hope you do a season 3. I bought a season pass to Cedar Point this year so maybe I will see Brennan out there this summer.
WOW!!! I mean just WOW! The narrator that came in around 6:15 got me super hyped to seek out a "Flying Bob", oh wait never mind, I actually dozed off😴😴😴 for a while
Omggg this type of ride is branded omg?? I love the snow themed ones!! And I think theres one at Legoland too! A pair of my friends played uno on the ride
BREAKING NEWS Legoland carnage: 34 injured after rollercoaster horror crash - three helicopters spotted A ROLLERCOASTER crash at a Legoland in Germany has injured at least 34 people. It is the second time in as many weeks that Germany has seen a rollercoaster accident. Last week, a 57-year-old woman died after falling out of a ride at an amusement park in Klotten, in the south-west of the country. The cause for the accident has not yet been identified.
I was a foreman on a traveling thunderbolt for many years. Swinging the tubs is not good for the sweep shocks it blows them out and are very expensive . I loved working the ride I miss it to this day.
have you ever considered doing a q/a slash FAQ video? (or, maybe you have and im just missing it!) i'd love to learn more about WHAT you do at your job and why you made the channel. and i think it'd be super cool to see what ur most frequently asked questions are
I don't recall if any of the travelling shows I've been to have ever had anything but Chance models, but that said though love the hell out of those Chance models, they go fast, you get some good swings, and they seem to give a lot of control to the operator instead of just always going with the same cycle so it gives even more variety and re-rideability to a ride that already gives you different cycles. I also had no clue these had so much history going back to the 1800s, cool to learn there's so much backstory to these other than someone deciding "Well what if we just took a Himalaya and made it swing?" (Well... that kind of is the story but there's way more history and evolution in that) It's a shame to hear Chance discontinued their, thankfully there's so many out in the wild they'll still be around for years to come but hopefully they keep making parts or possibly even having enough demand to bring it back, it'd be a sad day if these got to the end of their life and it becomes a rare ride
Hey found where is the fun spot flying bobs there are in PuertoRico they are being repainted and repaired so they can be used for the fairgrounds on the island
I love me a good Matterhorn ... but note the emphasis on 'good'. Sadly, the only ones I find these days may as well be kiddie rides for as slow as they go. In particular, I *despise* the "Rock & Roll" version, but that's the only one I see these days, both at carnivals and at the beach. I'm not too thrilled with "Thunderbolt" either, and it's hard to find anything beyond these. My favorite one, historically, was "Disco Star" at Casino Pier (Seaside Heights, NJ). That one had great laterals, a long cycle, and ran in both directions. It was around at the same time as a Reverchon "Himalaya" (which I've always preferred over other "Musik Express" rides), in what I considered a Golden Age for flatrides at the beach. I give an honorable mention to "Schlittenfahrt" at Morey's Pier (it was around at the same time as the long-lost "Canyon Trip", mentioned in a previous FROTW video). One point about this version: no secure harnesses; you were just trusted not to jump out of your car as the ride was in motion. I would *love* to experience a Reverchon Matterhorn, but I don't know of any near where I am and I don't see myself visiting another country just for that particular opportunity. Loved the video ... and one more ride I can check off my personal wishlist. Thx again!
Used to ride these as a kid. Rode the one at FSK, but unfortunately I can't really do spinning rides like I used to. Makes me a bit dizzy and nauseous afterwards. Was fine after 10 mins, but I'll have to pass from now on. My kids loved it though.
For permanent theme park installations they could make it a better ride by replacing the segmented running rail with a nice silky smooth continuous rail.
I've been on the matterhorn shown at 9:07 Jut watching the footage makes my stomach turn. It was definitely a thrill ride but apparently not one for me haha
If you haven’t done so already, could you do videos on the Hi Roller, Inverter, Tornado, and Orbiter?! Those are some great rides! Hi Roller is such a unique ride.
Request: (I'm not sure if you already did this one but i haven't seen a video about it) can you do the cliff hanger rides (the kites that spin in the air) for your next flat ride of the week?
I love most coasters, but rides like this and the teacup type rides end my day. I'll have a headache or worse for several hours after riding. Maybe it's age or something else idk. I used to love rides like this as a kid.
Australia has 3 travelling sobema Matterhorns 1 that has an enclosed canopy we once had an SDC park model Matterhorn at dreamworld built inside a fibreglass snow capped mountain with a waterfall coming down the side and the indoors section was pitch black and in the roof was an animatronic abominable snow man creature with red glowing eyes probably the best themed Matterhorn flat rides in the world and a few travelling alpine bobs and music express rides from different manufacturers
One matterhorn ride had a major accident that ended up with the biggest park in Argentina called 'Italpark'. It was a ride error not a human one , it would be nice if you talk about it sometime 😁

Great video as always 😎👍🏾
There is only one Herschell Flying Bobs I know of that still operates, and that's the one at Indiana Beach, which came from Coney Island Cincinnati.
Had no idea the one at IB was a Herschell! I will have to ride it when I visit this year!
I am from the Geauga Lake area (RIP) and yes the matterhorn there was awesome and so much better than CP's
Thanks for making these episodes when you have time. Hope you have a great summer season!
Thanks!
That ride looks fun. I love Flat Ride of the Week. I hope you are still doing it.
There is also a vintage caterpillar ride at Heritage Park in Calgary operating with the original curtain. Its awesome!
Nice video! Been wanting this for a long time so glad to see these awesome rides explained. I know you're probably not going to do another video until the season is over but I would love to see a future video on Techno Powers and the Zamperla Air Race
Both of those rides are on the list, Air Race probably sooner than later.
This year when I go to my State Fair, I'm going to ride every ride in the "big kids"/"adults" area and try to ask the op about the manufacturer and model of the attraction!
you have such a good series here, hope to see you at cedar point! ill be at kings island Friday to kick off coaster season!
I've ridden the flying bobs in Funspot Kissimmee. Haven't been over there in years but when I went it was fun. These kind of rides you'll see me go back on and on multiple times if there's a short line which there usually is
Love it when the cover comes over! The one from Ray Cammock Shows to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo had this version.
Nice to know that one with a cover is still operating in the US!
Rode one in Hasselt fair 2021, it was called the snow jet
Truly, one of mankind’s greatest inventions.
Would love to see you guys do a video in fall about the Waltser! :D
Most intense ride i have ever been on! Crazy laterals!
They already made episode about Tilt-A-Whirl/Waltzer rides. ua-cam.com/video/a8Pk46iu98g/v-deo.html
But it is older episode.
At Indiana Beach they now have a Allen Herschel flying bob's. It's the only one known to exist as far as I know. The cars don't swing as much as a Chance bob's. The Herschel model is a little rough and moves faster. But still fun
Ty for showing this it reminded me of a ride I rode as a kid
3:47 love this little montage
Really enjoyed this one
Thanks, I was unsure of how much people would like it, but I think it really adds to the video.
Great episode as always!
I rode the Shakers mentioned by Alex last year in Luxembourg, and it was a really intense ride with violent swinging - we had an absolute blast \m/
That one looks so good!
I’ve rode quite a few Matterhorn rides. They’re short but fun. I like how soothing the rides feel when you go around the hill. I think Six Flags MM has at least one of two rides like this, plus a few more classics mentioned by you on this channel.
I will miss this series until you guys come back 😀 thanks for all the great content 😎
I actually road a catapiller type ride last month at the San diego county fair and was completely baffled by it. If anyone ever gets the chance to ride one they are so much fun.
One of my favorites was the flying bobs when it was still at Delgrosso best memories of my childhood
I rode a modified wooden caterpillar ride with seesaw gondolas(cars) in the 90s in a high school fair. Two people max on each side of the ride and the seesaw action depended on humps and how you would lean backwards.
My home park had one these way back in the day called thunder bolt ! Unfortunately it was removed in 2009
We have the Himalayan ride and the matterhorn ride at Lake Winnie here where I live!
I love riding these, they are so much fun.
Hello and thank you for creating such an amazing series! I would like to recommend some rides.
Zamperla air race
Rock-o-plane
Roll-o-plane
Chance rides chaos
Chance rides trabant
Ferris wheel
Carousel
That’s all I have. Love your channel man!
I've been on 1 Flying Bobs model, Rock and Roll at Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. It was fun, barely pulled positives, and kinda made my dizzy.
I love this ride especially the one at my home park funtown splashtown (thunderbolt)
I like the Cedar point matterhorn. It's a fun ride for all ages, which isn't something you can say about alot of the rides there.
True
I haven’t ridden these kinds of rides since I was younger I find these very crazy a little bit much
7:10 is Sleighride at Six Flags Darien Lake which was recently refurbished during the pandemic (I'm not sure if it's still running forward and backwards though, anyone know?) along with the Pirate!
my mother isn't a huge ride fan, but she absolutely loves Flying Bobs.
First time I rode the Matterhorn was way cool. Ride it every year.
I actually have ridden one of these old caterpillar rides in Calgary ab
Yaaasss queen I have always loved the himalaya!😊
WOW!!! I mean just WOW! The narrator that came in around 6:15 got me super hyped to seek out a "Flying Bob", oh wait never mind, I actually dozed off😴😴😴 for a while
I think I went on a version of this when I was little. I know I hit my head on something like this
i love this ride !!! thou by the end of ride iam pretty nauseous lol i started taking dramamine and it helps alot .
i saw that first ride and i was like “oh yeah, the himalaya was fun.” then he continued and i was like “hol’ up- that wasn’t the himalaya?”
Omggg this type of ride is branded omg?? I love the snow themed ones!! And I think theres one at Legoland too! A pair of my friends played uno on the ride
Another great video thanks
BREAKING NEWS Legoland carnage: 34 injured after rollercoaster horror crash - three helicopters spotted
A ROLLERCOASTER crash at a Legoland in Germany has injured at least 34 people.
It is the second time in as many weeks that Germany has seen a rollercoaster accident.
Last week, a 57-year-old woman died after falling out of a ride at an amusement park in Klotten, in the south-west of the country. The cause for the accident has not yet been identified.
Love this ride since I was a kid 😜💙
My best friend have the new spring ride here in france and operate his ride at 12 rpm for gentle swing that allow children
I also had no clue these had so much history going back to the 1800s, cool to learn there's so much backstory to these other than someone deciding "Well what if we just took a Himalaya and made it swing?" (Well... that kind of is the story but there's way more history and evolution in that)
It's a shame to hear Chance discontinued their, thankfully there's so many out in the wild they'll still be around for years to come but hopefully they keep making parts or possibly even having enough demand to bring it back, it'd be a sad day if these got to the end of their life and it becomes a rare ride
I agree, the chance ones are really fun!
i hope all is well! miss your videos!
yes !!!thanks you just gave me a new name to use in planet coaster for this ride round about like it .
Hey found where is the fun spot flying bobs there are in PuertoRico they are being repainted and repaired so they can be used for the fairgrounds on the island
Me personally i think that ice jet is probably the worlds best matterhorn but that is just my opinion. But what a ride they all are.
I've ridden the one at CP hundreds of times
Theres one in Washington state. Puyallup Fair
Talk about the top thrill dragster lady that was hit waiting in line.
We have one that comes to kdays in Edmonton ALBERTA but it goes slow:(
All of these machines ride different. I rode on at hullfair. The cars swung near vertical.
I love most coasters, but rides like this and the teacup type rides end my day. I'll have a headache or worse for several hours after riding. Maybe it's age or something else idk. I used to love rides like this as a kid.
Can you guys do a flat ride of the week on the Miami trip style rides
hey you should do the huss breakdance too
Can you do the Madhouse/Haunted Swing rides next, I am able to provide info, plus they are my favourite
Australia has 3 travelling sobema Matterhorns 1 that has an enclosed canopy we once had an SDC park model Matterhorn at dreamworld built inside a fibreglass snow capped mountain with a waterfall coming down the side and the indoors section was pitch black and in the roof was an animatronic abominable snow man creature with red glowing eyes probably the best themed Matterhorn flat rides in the world
and a few travelling alpine bobs and music express rides from different manufacturers
One matterhorn ride had a major accident that ended up with the biggest park in Argentina called 'Italpark'. It was a ride error not a human one , it would be nice if you talk about it sometime 😁
Was it a recent accident?
@@CoasterCollege nope , like 20 years ago
Can you do Zamperla Air Races next?
