Hi Dr. G, well done, very interesting. I'm curious about his childhood and how he developed these compulsions. Did you mention in a prior video interviewing Mr. Radar's daughter? That would be interesting, I've seen her interviewed in the past. Thank you
She's been seeking out adult family members of other serial killers to allow them to share their story in a way that still honors the victims. I watched a couple of those videos here on YT, I recommend them if you haven't watched them yet.
Watching him admit it I always felt he wanted everyone to know BTK did it, not necessarily Dennis Rader. He didn’t want anyone else to get credit, but he didn’t want his facade of his normal life to end.
I wonder if Rader shows less discomfort describing later murders considering he felt he made too many mistakes w/ the Otero murders. That may explain some of his discomfort here. Also, his family convinced him to accept the plea deal which required confession to spare them a trial, & to his credit he did but likely not entirely willingly. Which also might explain his current obfuscation w/ LE regarding the two murders they’ve recently questioned him about. Even in his confession, he was in control of what he shared & how.
He murdered Joseph Junior in the next bedroom and then took Josephine to the basement. Josephine asked BTK what was going to happen to her while he was taking her downstairs. He told her that she would be in heaven tonight.
what a monster. it's surreal to hear him say he tried to make mr otero as comfortable as he could, giving him a pillow bc he had cracked ribs and then putting a bag over his head and suffocating him in front of his family :(
Might as well move into Ed Kemper. That guy can probably have ten of these videos. Love the channel. Very interesting to look at individuals with this many problems in a sort of behind the scenes way ie what they cannot manipulate.
@@drgexplainsHi. I don't know if this is a potential thing. I've heard people say we may want to analyse the video of when Trump initially found he'd won and was to be President. Supposedly both he and his wife display interesting facial and body language. She cries. Some think they both didn't expect it or want it.
Excellent episode. Is he a blended narcissist, psycho or socio? He called the murders a sexual fantasy. He tried to be nonchalant while acquiescing - great analysis. Thank you for taking the time.
Regarding ASPD, all psychopaths are sociopaths but not all sociopaths are psychopaths. Psychopaths are characterized by lack of empathy and control; with how Rader explains his crimes and his body language we can see he has a lot of control over himself and needs it for his crimes. Looking also at his work life, he had stable jobs and was able to maintain a cover image, most sociopaths have a hard time keeping one job so every few months they have another job. In a way Rader could be considered a narcissist, he does want admiration and fame for his crimes but in his trial we don't see too much of a grandiose personality as we do with Bundy in his trial. Rader, as mentioned, has a very obsessive personality in regards to other's actions and how he can control them, narcissists usually focus on themselves, everything they do is to make themselves look better, they don't care about anyone else. While, yes, narcissists do get gratification out of the humiliation and manipulation of others, they typically do it to boost their ego since they, deep down, feel so lowly about themselves; in this regard, Rader seems to be very sure of himself.
Thank you, Dr G! Very sharp observations as always. I was just watching a video about him last night and wondering what you would say. When is your class starting, btw? I am excited to join
Making Mr. Otero more comfortable because he had a cracked rib, despite the fact Rader _was going to murder him_ always gets me. It's like Rader is reducing the severity of his crimes, or that he, BTK, was magnanimous enough to allow a victim a small comfort...before killing them via strangulation. The dichotomy is striking.
This is also seen with how he tried to keep Josephine calm while he was killing her parents, as an 11 year old girl witnessing her parents being killed it is surely a frightening experience, yet Rader tried to reassure her by telling her that her parents were just sleeping. From a young age he aspired to be a serial killer, yet when he became one he did not think the title fit. Another interesting aspect is that he considered his crimes to be of a lower sexual nature, he believed he was better than some of the other sexual killers because he did not rape them as the others did. In a way he was trying to make himself feel better about what he was doing by minimizing his crimes.
@@corrinafrench7709Rader would have shot them if they resisted. Self preservation was important to Rader until he stooged himself off with the floppy disk
He’s trying to manipulate the judge and onlookers into believing he has empathy, humanity, compassion and a conscience…when in actuality, he’s a brutal, cold, narcissistic and calculated serial murderer, very matter of fact about his crimes, and is actually a psychopath incapable of such emotions towards his victims. And any acts of “kindness” he showed to his victims were merely tools of control, in order to manipulate them (like he’s trying to manipulate the judge) into compliance, until the moment he unalives them. Just Horrific…and truly cruel psychological manipulation.
The difference between the 1st set of clips and the last at the jail are very noticeable. I'm wondering if we saw the judge talking with him, he would be making the same slow movements BTK is doing. The officers talking with him at the jail were possibly friendly and peppy, therefore he he mirrored them to fit in. He has anti-social behaviors, so he doesn't care about actually "fitting in" but is only doing so in attempt to maintain control of the situation.
A better term might be "shame." He is ashamed--as he should be. He knew better somewhere, but, throughout his life, did not seek help from others, a psychologist or counselor, for instance; he sought nothing but his own escalating, grandiose self-gratification. He is embarrassed and should be. He knows he did not treat others the way he would like to have been treated. He knows human beings have certain standards of caring behavior. He had a child, for heaven's sake!! If ever there was a candidate deserving the death penalty, this is one. Presently, I am sure he remains thrilled with being seen as notorious. Now he lives in infamy.
I remember I could barely watch this hearing. I was disgusted by him and at the same time infuriated and scared. All I know is my inner spirit was telling me EVIL Evil Evil. Get away, run away.

Dr. G…. FASCINATING insight!!! Thank you! I’ve watched this three times already. The need for control, the need to give all the details or only as many as he wants to give…flipping fascinating!! The fingers/digital adapter, aggressively swishing the water-those two things are so out of his observed controlled baseline that it’s SCARY. His manual dexterity, he’s one unsettling psychopath. Once again, his irises are uneven-one is significantly lower than the other. What’s up with that. I’d really enjoy hearing your opinion on this observation. Japanese call it Sanpaku eyes. I first noticed it in Christine Papin and subsequently have observed it often in people arrested for various murders/serial killers. Is it a datapoint or merely coincidence?
" You may say you're sorry, but you're not." "Cos i know for a fact you're only sorry you got caught." " But you put on quite a show, very entertaining , but now it's time to go, curtains finally closing, " That was quite a show, very entertaining, but it's over now. Go on and take a bow "
Interesting as always Dr. G! It’s scary that serial killers look like the neighbor next door. Depraved minds have no certain “look” except maybe the person that stares too long, or shows no empathy when they should. I wonder if he was embarrassed at all for his daughter? Or is he just selfish?
I see a man who has struggled with ocd for many years, considered it a weakness he couldn't control. That is, until the dark fantasies came along. These images in his mind, over and over, tricked him into believing he could finally gain the ever elusive control he so wanted.
These monsters are kept alive, otherwise how will society learn of their behaviors. Medical professionals are somewhat intrigued to interview these monsters and the general public also have a fascination to hear all the gory details. I hate these monsters. It's disturbing to know what they did. I couldn't listen.
Dr G. You mentioned something being universal which brings a question to mind. You might have spoken on it before, but is body language a universal trait, or would you have to know some cultural differences if you were doing a study on someone from a country other than U.S.?
I am curious. Sometimes when serial killers lick their lips, you perceive that as excitement and other times they lick their lips you perceive it differently. What helps you make that differentiation?
Good question because it essentially looks the same. A great deal of it is context. In other words, what they are discussing. Many serial killers do that when they talk about their victims, so it stands to reason it is more likely excitement.
Doubtful. He wouldn't have taken it out on his family. He partitioned that sick part of himself. I bet his family felt he was very loving. Being a dad is stressful. Most don't have a hobby of killing strangers to release that stress.
Not according to his daughter. Seemed like he was a normal loving dad in front of them. It's what scares me the most about psychopaths, how normal they can appear.
I’ve really enjoyed watching these videos. I’m interested in the topic and I learn a lot from the examples given. I recently watched some similar channels but I didn’t enjoy them as much as yours. I appreciate your style of teaching and will stick around to see your continued success!

Hi Dr. G, well done, very interesting. I'm curious about his childhood and how he developed these compulsions. Did you mention in a prior video interviewing Mr. Radar's daughter? That would be interesting, I've seen her interviewed in the past. Thank you
Kerry. She’s lovely and has attempted to get more answers, unsuccessfully, from him.
She's been seeking out adult family members of other serial killers to allow them to share their story in a way that still honors the victims. I watched a couple of those videos here on YT, I recommend them if you haven't watched them yet.
@@FannyVonFluffand most don't want to relive it she is very sick
Watching him admit it I always felt he wanted everyone to know BTK did it, not necessarily Dennis Rader. He didn’t want anyone else to get credit, but he didn’t want his facade of his normal life to end.
Fascinating. Thanks Dr. G!
Thank you!
He’s so weird, he talks like he looked up how to be a serial killer and each step involved.
Thank you Dr. G! You never disappoint!
I think his mouth movements talking about the husband killing contempt bc he was not expecting the husband there. It was a messy unplanned murder.
Love ur work I actually in school to become a forensic pathologist and this is actually very helpful I love the videos much love and support ❤
what a monster. it's surreal to hear him say he tried to make mr otero as comfortable as he could, giving him a pillow bc he had cracked ribs and then putting a bag over his head and suffocating him in front of his family :(
Another great video. What’s up with his brows? Did he shave them?
😂he was thinking about it and then changed his mind lol
They're Hitler eyebrows.
Thyroid imbalance
There just like that lol his daughter Kerri Rader has his eyebrows and eyes.
An amazing analysis. Thank you, Dr. G. Have you considered diane downs?
Your voice and mic quality are top
This extreme dichotomy is so helpful to all of us
Thank you
Might as well move into Ed Kemper. That guy can probably have ten of these videos. Love the channel. Very interesting to look at individuals with this many problems in a sort of behind the scenes way ie what they cannot manipulate.
Ed Kemper is coming soon. His interviews are so interesting and complex, it probably will take a few videos.
@@drgexplainsyes! Please do Ed Kemper!
@@drgexplainsHi. I don't know if this is a potential thing. I've heard people say we may want to analyse the video of when Trump initially found he'd won and was to be President. Supposedly both he and his wife display interesting facial and body language. She cries. Some think they both didn't expect it or want it.
He described murder like he was talking about the weather.
He has such a flat affect. He is very creepy to me. 🤢
Thank you for sharing your expertise on this animal
Animals are not like this. Non human creature is better. We should not insult animals because it leads to mistreatment
Animals don’t behave this way.
I love your videos on these serial killers. I do have one suggestion, let the video run longer before you pause it to provide your analysis.
Very interesting! Thank you Dr G!🫶
Thanks for making my morning 🩷 love your content.
Very interesting to hear you talk dr.G
Thank you, Dr G! Very sharp observations as always. I was just watching a video about him last night and wondering what you would say. When is your class starting, btw? I am excited to join
It does seem they mimic on outside against the chaos felt inside.
Great analysis! Thanks for the upload.
He’s so calm talking about his murders. No emotion at all.
Have you ever done one on the (Jon benet) Ramsay family, particularly Burke the brother?
Thanks great job as always @ Dr.G Explains ❤
It’s unfortunate Mr Otero didn’t try to punch or fight him. The outcome may have been different.
How did you find that jail house interview?
Your analyses are always the best; congrats, Dr. G! Can you pls.analyse also Nicole, the mistress from Chris Watts case!? Best wishes!🎩
Having been a counsellor in residential rehab I wonder what happened with him and his parents in his early existence.
Just now tuning in😊
Thanks Dr G v informative . I couldn'twatch the whole video due to graphic nature... Whats going on with his eyebrows? Why the light colored suit? Alot going on with his eyes v cold.
That last sequence (red prison jumpsuit) was very interesting. He became a (almost pitiable) person.
Thx. I enjoy your content.
Dr.
" You may say you're sorry, but you're not."
"Cos i know for a fact you're only sorry you got caught."
" But you put on quite a show, very entertaining , but now it's time to go, curtains finally closing, "
That was quite a show, very entertaining, but it's over now. Go on and take a bow "
His poems are better than that good lord
Love this - thanks Dr G!!! 😎
Awesome, thank you!
Me too.
Please do Lucy letby, if you haven't done her already. Thank you!
She is just classic munchousens syndrome. Attention seeking.
I think with obsessive, compulsive behavior
It might be a good idea to talk to oneself in a manner that can break those cycles :)
I like analyzing body language of the law enforcement who give these interviews.........it literally goes hand in hand
Thanks Dr. G. I figured along these lines. Wasn't sure though.
Sexual excitement
Bright and sharp as usual
Dahmer was calm like that too as he non-chalantly discussed eating his victims
I would love to see more of your analysis on Radar.
I have a video coming up covering him along with four other serial killers.
Thankyou 🦘
Having him as a dad had to be horrible.
It probably felt like a great/at least “normal” childhood at the time. Hindsight is a b*tch, though
@@rk-kb5rw I just imagine him being very controlling and emotionally distant.
I’ve really enjoyed watching these videos. I’m interested in the topic and I learn a lot from the examples given. I recently watched some similar channels but I didn’t enjoy them as much as yours. I appreciate your style of teaching and will stick around to see your continued success!
Thank you for all you do I love love your content

Dr. G…if this is a repeat post, forgive me. I don’t know if finished my first message to you!! 🤔how about Elaine Campione from Canada? I’d love to hear your analysis of her. Very sad case. Keep up the good work!
Hello Dr G. Shanna had another hearing for bond, it was denied. Any chance you can update us with that case please?
Positive comment for the algo ~~ Big fan of Dr.G and want him to become successful on youtube.
It’s terrifying to think that someone who seems so calm, kind, polite and who looks like your typical, nice neighbour next door committed such atrocious crimes while maintaining a family with children and a regular job.
It’s terrifying
This video was amazing
Kurtwood Smith needs to play BTK in a movie!
Is it possible for a person not to show anything while confessing ? I mean nothing at all. Thank you for your amazing work Dr. G 😶
You should do a deep dive breakdown of THE ICEMAN!!!
15:00 he's clearly flicking boogers Dr. G, not expressing impatience or hurrying up.
I think he took the radio as a souvenir.
Great stuff
Love your videos! I mentioned this on another video comment but please do Casey Anthony! She is such a liar! She has old stuff and a recent documentary
Anytime someone blinks while in a conversation is a sign that the person is a serial killer. I'm a certified psychologist after buying a certification online.
get another one cus i do it wtf🤣💀
People! Never ever go along with anyone either in your home, in a vehicle, anywhere. Fight fight fight.
“I tried to make him as comfortable as I could”. 😒
Everything about Dennis rader is terrifying
You should make a video on the Green River killer Gary Ridgeway
