Enjoyed the land, people, semaphores, old bridge stonework, Alcos and the spiral near Dhulghat, I also looked it up on Google Earth. It's too bad so much history and tradition will be lost when the line is rebuilt to Broad Gauge. Great filming and editting! David in Canada.
What a lovely video of a MG route.. such wonderful places , such pristine landscapes, villages, people !! oh.. What India this is ..As someone mentioned this will be converted to BG..I guess the essence of such a journey will be lost to oblivion ! The ending was too good.. as you stood and watched the train depart, leaving you with unforgettable memories !

Hiwarkhed is the last station of akola district..after that ghat section start , this ghat section is known as Melghat which is fall in Amravati district. Entire melghat section is the part of Satpura mountain range. Amravati district share border with Madhya Pradesh. Tapti river is the border of Maharashtra and MP. This side Amravati district of Maharashtra state and other side Madhya Pradesh.
I remember people were used travel on roof of the train. How can they manage in dhulghat tunnel? I think these trains must be superhit thats why people force to travel roof of the train.

Nice coverage, btw please try to shorten the length of the video by breaking into short clips, its very difficult for everyone to watch a 33+mins video at one go, even i have not watched it fully, will do it when i get ample amount of free time !........Btw (Door plating+shooting) in MG coaches is very risky as the coaches are very shaky!
