Just want to say Dan, I have battled cancer for 5 years now since November 12th, 2017. You are the reason I want to get back into riding. Sadly, it takes the green to make the scene. As soon as my disability payments happen, I will try to get ANY motorcycle to ride. Just want to say despite all your medical and other things you continue to ride. You inspire people like me to want to ride again, so from me to you, truly thank you!
My father battled for 6 years and unfortunately passed away in June. That man was the one who convinced me to get my cycle endorsement class done before my 16th birthday and he gave me a 1984 v45 magna (sound familiar lol), it's been sold since but I know who has it so hopefully whenever they decide to let go of it I can get that bike back so I can keep it alongside my dad's Harley. Go kick cancer's ass brother.
keep at it my man, probably gonna take a while but rn bikes are pretty cheap, im thinking of taking out a small loan for one rn. if you get a used bike, it will probably on be abour 2-3 grand, which if you get a loan would probably be like 100 a month, not including extra shit like gear and insurance

I can’t believe I’ve been watching Dan since 2015,2016 hell he’s the one who gave me a love for bikes I remember using the “do it with dickhead” phrase and people would just look at me like I was crazy 😂. Anyway just had to say thanks Dan for giving a kid something to dream about

I had a fz10 Coffman exhaust on my fz1 an loved the sound! Plus been the shorty it made a huge difference to the look of the naked style fz1
That "long Neck transformer" is called a milling machine, it grinds the pavement into smaller chunks then dumps it into a truck, then they take the millings back to the plant and recycle that into "compact fill",they use that fill in the potholes that scatter the roadway, there ya go Dan ya learned something new

Would anyone recommend a 600 over a 1000? I was thinking about picking up an R1 but Dan having so much fun on a 600 is making me reconsider lol. In my case, I did own a 1700 vmax so I don't think controlling the power will be an issue for me lol. I'm mainly just looking for something different. I work from home and most of my riding is in the twisties, with a few longer trips in the year and of course just getting me wherever I need to go.

I own a GSXR 600 and absolutely love it! Fun and nimble and great for twisties and regular daily riding, but I highly recommend getting a 750 if possible. You can have have the power of a 1000 and agility of a 600 in one.
Own a Daytona 675R, get whatever you'd like and feel comfortable with. R1's are awesome 👌
I have an MT10 and I feel so limited on the road. 3rd gear starts well over 100 and the MT10 is basically a detuned R1. The R6 or R7 would be more fun than the R1 IMO, unless you are looking to do track time in the future.
Upgraded to a zx-6r from a 650r and I love it +1 for a 600
