Minor glitches, imperceptible miscalculations - tiny aberrations in the otherwise flawless system. These anomalies, at first dismissed as inconsequential, began to accumulate like cryptic whispers in the vast silence of the InfoStat's digital domain.

Haha, I love how that if Dan hadn't opened Barbie yet, they wouldn't have seen how rubbish the wings looked on her, and he would have won. 😂
The lesson this year seems to be "Do not play your best hand too early."
I feel sad for the stock footage girl eating those crisps alone until christmas. I hope she'll find something to watch before the bowl is empty.
The Barbie wings would immediately look better if the "belt" was on the other side (i.e., if they curved _away_ from her shoulders, instead of towards them).
The German's just a general explanation of how bubble mixture works. "The dissolved soap bubble powder changes the surface tension of the water so that when you immerse the ring in the solution, a strong film forms inside. If you blow air into it, this film expands and eventually forms a bubble in which the air blown in is trapped. Only when this film of soapy water becomes unstable, e.g. due to evaporating water the bubble will burst!"
You win the comments!
Sounds to me like it is a long lasting bubble, it pops over time rather than with contact
Thank you, I was oddly curious.
@@jackdriffill2394 evaporating water was just an example. A sudden change of shape such as the one a bubble might undergo when coming into contact with a surface may also count as something that makes it "unstable."
@@jackdriffill2394 Your comment reminded me of this, so please forgive the random tangent.
There are "bubble magicians" who spend their lives learning how to blow long-lasting bubbles. It's like a real life version of that Spongebob episode with the technique. I thought it was lamest thing I ever heard about when some friends hired a bubble wizard for their kid's birthday party. I was wrong. The guy even managed to captivate us parents, and we were stone cold sober!
Put the wings on the Military Man and give the guns to Barbie. Win-win!
On today's episode of "Dan plays with a Barbie doll for 6 minutes"
Barbie better be decked out in all kinds of heavy weapons kit by the end of this.
Yes. And the army men better be f-ing fabulous.
I cant believe you've actually woken up 5 days in a row just to open these calendars and definitely not in the same day! The dedication is incredible!
Not only that but Stuart takes a multi-hour train ride everyday!
@@kennethford3550no for the whole of December they live together. They alternate who's house.
@@kennethford3550 The trains must be very effective in the UK!
They do most of the videos in one go. They dont change their clothes. Open your eyes.
@@linuxares UK trains are famously very effective and punctual, as everyone knows.
The German text says this ➡️ THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE:
1. Pour approx. 50 ml of tap water into a small bowl or soup plate. Now add the side bubble powder while stirring slowly until the powder has completely dissolved.
WHAT HAPPENS:
The dissolved soap bubble powder changes the surface tension of the water so that when you immerse the ring in the solution, a strong film forms inside. If you blow air into it, this film expands and finally forms a bubble in which the air blown in is trapped. Only when this film of soapy water becomes unstable, e.g. B. due to evaporating water the bubble will burst!
2. Now pull the soap bubble ring through the soap solution until a film has formed inside. Since there is a risk of spills, go outside with the bubble ring and the plate and immerse the ring completely in the solution.
Now you can create soap bubbles by quickly moving the ring through the air or blowing through the ring.
"Since there is a risk of spills, go outside with the bubble ring and the plate "
German children should not have fun in ze haus!
@@Okurka. a freezing German child trying to blow bubbles while being pummeled by a snowstorm
@@Deadly_Laserfreezing? Why freezing? Germany is not as snowy of a place as you think
@@Luka1180 I mean, 0°C is still pretty cold if you are a child in pyjamas
@@Deadly_Laserwhats that in a real measurement
First one was obviously a grapple gun with a sniper scope, for some reason...
I thought harpoon gun but that doesn't seem any better
For grappling people at a distance!
@@TheJillers”Get Over Here!”
I had that exact toy growing up, but it came with a much more articulate scuba diver figure so I think it's a harpoon gun
I thought it was a flamethrower.
I genuinely though this would be a close one... Dan is going to get decimated.
This was my daily watch last year when I had an anxiety crisis, even rewatched the old ones. It feels great to watch it this year while also feeling great. Thank you guys.
Same here! ❤❤❤
I'm happy that you feel better! Happy holidays!
I'm so thrilled that you're doing better this year! Have a wonderful holiday season, and here is hoping that next year is even better!
I'm so happy you're doing better this Christmas! 🙂💜
This year I'm really struggling and am here having a smile for a few minutes every day. It somehow feels more like Christmas, watching them with their ridiculous calendars.😂
This has been such a lovely little christmas tradition. Not just the videos, but also the comments section. ^^
This will be my last calendar though. Not going to be around for next year. Even this year I'm 7 months on borrowed time by now and the doctors are amazed I've made it this far.
So thanks for the good times! Happy comment sections make lives better.
I love how Dan just like, nerfed himself unintentionally with his calendars
Nerf'd Cube
He does it every year too
Well, descending into actual babbling came very quickly this year.
"Bethesda did what?" On the day Bethesda (re)releases paid mods for skyrim. If anyone needed any proof that they film this every day, this is it.
Well, people have been whining Bethesda every day for about a month and a half now, so that really doesn't mean anything.
I heard about the AI Steam review comments Bethesda was doing, but Starfield sucked so bad they went back to milking Skyrim huh? Wow.
they did that years ago. That's literally what the creator club was. They just changed how you buy them because no one used the creator club. Old news
"Thats a M16"
"Nah that's a M4"
I meaaaan
I just wanna say- I have decided to open my cheap $1 chocolate advent with yall as I watch. Knowing exactly which choco pattern I will get. lol. 😂
Brings a bit of joy to the habit.
What did you get today then?
@@DoctorBastard A bell!
You got the better deal.
and in true ashens fashion, i ate my rustlers burger while watching this…
You're too adorable, you deserve a bit better for yourself. Enjoy though!
I guarantee you the youtube algorithm is trying to figure out why all the Americans are looking up "Only Fools and Horses" all of a sudden.
When your hopes slowly rise for poor Dan as the wings appear, only to have it plummet, like that one piece of onion falling off the chopping board, the moment those wings were placed on the doll. Mattel, whatever you're smoking over there, I'll take two.
More stickers. You know, I was really advocating for that calendar the first couple of days, going to go ahead and say that unless there's an actual Reliant Regal behind one of the flaps, I'm giving up on it at this point
No, the fairy wings go on the soldier.
Don't ask, don't tell.
If a soldier was wearing fairy wings, you would'nt need to ask.
Exactly my first thought as well. If we're thinking of the same thing, those were dragonfly wings in the original tho.

În terms of actual advent calendars for kids the army one is possibly the best they've ever had of any year
This is legitimately my favourite month of the year because of this advent calendar
As opposed to illegitimate?
"Bethesda did what!?" Wow, that was well timed lol.
I don't know who edits these in the end, but I can only imagine them cursing Dan & Stuart for doing this all in a single day because the camera focus is on the background so now we're stuck with another 19 days of slightly blurry Ashens&Nerd
It's Matt, long suffering Matt as usual.
1:55, it's obviously a harpoon gun lads, and therefore gets all the points
With a scope for no reason. And definitely not the M11 that it advertises on the side.
I'm playing along with you guys! My bf got me a Pokemon chinese bootleg advent calendar that he rearranged.
Chinese Bootleg Pokemon Advent Calendar Day 5:
Magnemite, it's got 5 limbs. Funny that its poles were all painted blue, so it was a negative Magnemite. A depressed Magnemite.
So far I've gotten:
#1- Charmander
#2- Zapdos
#3- Snivy
#4- Torchic
#5- Depressed Magnemite
Omg, do you have an Instagram or something? I really want to see this 😂😂
On the fifth day of Advent, these two blokes gave to me
Some fancy guns!
Barbie and a box of weapons
Tech gear and a brush
Backpacks, shoes and dancers
And Some guff that is generic
I rhink the wings are an upgraded form of the grass mask 😂
I call technical foul! Dan should get points deducted for illegal breaking of chair cushions
Technical fouls are reserved for ranked advent calendar openings. This is clearly a for fun opening, as I don't see a cheese calendar anywhere in sight and the exercise one was quashed right at the start by the grass mask council.
This has become a good Christmas tradition in our household and truly, the German calendars are unhinged (still remember pensioneers Christmas lol). Also, as someone who knows German and has German husband - this is especially hilarious for us!
This years Wera calender today was 2 precision screwdriver bits. Still haven't gotten the driver/handle yet.
Immediately opening with Weebl and Bob style gibberish? I heartily endorse this.
Also, my brain has now decided to sing "have a lovely jubbly Christmas" to the tune of "A Holly Jolly Christmas", and I needed to share this nonsense with the class.
Maybe the wings would look better if you could take the ring part out and stick it in from the other side so when you put them on they fold away from the body.
The chair cushion breaking was the best thing to happen so far amazing keep it up
Ashen's toy hair is very generous.
There's something about watching Weebl's Advent Calendar and then immediately coming to that opening
Those wings look like a Megamind collar
day 5 of still not having an advent calendar so living through you
References to both Dune and 40K from these goofballs, my week is now complete.
In defense of Barbie's fairy wings, Stuart's calendar gave him weapons two days in a row, on top of the law of diminishing returns, come day 5 your military man from day 1 has, backpacks, high tech equipment, and a crate of weapons... But what is a child supposed to do with all of that if his military man doesn't have some kind of antagonist or at a bare minimum a second military man to do stuff with? (As per the rule all calendar gifts must be judged purely on their contents and nothing else) If they had given you two military men on day one (or at least a second one on day 2) If I were a child in this hypothetical scenario I think I would be starting to get frustrated that I haven't gotten a second guy to play with yet and that would only grow as I got more "resource" days. Meanwhile, Barbie was given the gift of flight from our lord and savior the Reliable Reindeer, which adds a whole new dimension of play for the doll you've been accessorizing for the past 5 days even if the wings are a bit tiny.
Granted, this would've come out to be another draw after the Fools and Horses calendar, which would be boring but dammit Barbie deserves at least ONE win.
I'm loving the part where Barbie was gifted flight by the Reliable Reindeer, amen. Truly a suitably holy tale for the season.
Pretty sure if a child had the military man calendar they would just open every single one on the same day.
you know, i thought that barbie would improve Dan's subsequent days by allowing him to actually use the accessories
He would've won if he hadn't played barbie already
3:51 You were right, it is that way around. The smaller bits are on top
This yearly advent series is the only thing keeping me going each year. single-handedly keeping me alive 😭 ily guys thank you for still doing this
The military men calendar looks like it has some pretty solid stuff and I think it'll end on a positive with a good number of quality figures to play with.
German science stuff might pay off better at the end too once everything is together.
Barbie will end ok because tons of accessories.
And Fools and Horses... nice diorama at least?
The big section at the bottom of the science calendar is a "What Happened" section where I assume they explain the science behind whatever the experiment was. Which is pretty cool.
The best part of this series so far is how the camera is always focusing on the bookcase in the background and Dan/Ashens are always slightly blurry.
I hate that I can't unsee this.
the trick is to watch it from a distance so you don't notice the focus issues
Man I'm more impatient to keep reading this InfoStat story than I am for the videos!
I got drunk and quite literally came looking for Ashens updates. Then I saw this and the non-dancing pop-up, and almost cried.
We want magnetic dancing pop-up characters with music!
Those wings look like some sort of Victorian back brace.
Weirdly accurate
I bet the fairy wings fit the military man far better.
I think stuart wont ever get to the punishment calendar this year. The military men are too good
Those wings were clearly meant to be a top ticket item in the calendar. Dan may as well abandon all hope now.
No trying the elf wings on a military man? Well, it's good they will be filming day 6 tomorrow, so they can try it.
these videos are the only reason i know what date it is
This has legitimately become part of my holiday traditions
I like how the guy on Dan's shirt looks like he's reacting to the tat on the table.
When you realize that the person who wrote the epic chocolate based murder mystery a few years back in the comments was probably Stuart.
I had completely forgotten about lindt
I like the clump of lights on the tree
so glad they got the close up of the puzzle lol
Knew that trivia straight away as my mum sent away for a vhs of that episode in the 90's, I think it was through the Irish Mirror
You guys are so clever re wearing the same outfit for these videos, it almost makes it feel like you filmed these videos all at the same time!
But we know that's not true, you'd never open your entire advent calendars before Christmas!
Lmao but honestly, I love these videos :'D my favourite part of Christmas on UA-cam every year
Blood for the blood god, guns for the gun crate, and bones for Slepp
I refuse to accept it's nearing Christmas. I remember the 2022 advent as recent!
Such dedication to slave away day after day, so dedicated they haven’t even changed clothes…
Even the chair had enough.
Looks like Robbie Williams on Dan's T-shirt.
Dan’s not loving the angel wings instead.
That's going to be a pain to get off your glasses, you silly man... Fun trick with sticker glue residue, use the sticker that you could remove to remove the residue since I've never really had much luck with goo be gone and hated how oily my hands felt afterwards. You can tell these are those awful laminated paper stickers meaning it's going to break 1/3rd or 1/2 of the way through removal.
Use cigarette lighter fluid to remove the glue. leaves no residue.
Barbie not want violence, but is necessary now
-Fairy wings + weapons = cute violence
I actually just made some popcorn. Talk about great timing
The wings needed to be flat, as a short man, I do have a few guns that are greater than half my height at 5ft 5in or 165cm so not too crazy with the scales. Also bubble wand was not something I thought of for the science calendar. Still holding out for mirror, magnifying glass, and ceramic bar magnet with colored poles on it. THOUGH, seeing an eraser in one of them means we'll get a golf pencil as well.
I can't imagine Dan will ever actually win one. Right?
One of the 1972 Reliant Regal Supervan IIIs that was used in the show was auctioned off last May.
That first gun looks more like a harpoon launcher, or something that shoots sci-fi Layzor Rayz
Standard length of that shotgun is usually around a meter so it’s not that far off honestly.
Maybe for next year, maybe try setting up a point system to judge the items in the advent calendars.
So like 0 - 5 points for each category. The categories could be something along the lines of Quality (how good the material is), Practicality ( does it serve its purpose), Aesthetics (does it look visually appealing) Enjoyment (do you or target audience get entertainment from it) Cost (the cost of the calendar compared to item received) Compatibility (do the items work well together, eg action figure able to hold accessories)
These are just a few ideas at least to help remove the odds of a tie.
You could still have ways to steal a win or a tie if you wanted.
ITS ME BIRTHDAY! ah excellent and I brought myself a Steamdeck because before I was just a console scub and wanted a neat device.
Great God!
I appreciate the wardrobe changes.
Another tie! Becoming a close one,Fellas!
Cube is lookin' at that Barbie with WAAAAY too much sense of wonder and WAAAAY too lovingly not to think those wings in fact, are not utter shit, but actually the perfect addition to his fu*king dream Barbie 😂🤣👌
ADVENT IS UPON US 5 TIMES
...That weird-looking rifle looks to be a grapple-launcher, with a rope drum under it.
The wheels are starting to come off for Dan here...
Barbie calendar, day 5: HEY! LISTEN! HEY! LISTEN!
LOL, wobble & Bob at the start. 🥚
Dan really is not having a merry advent. At least the bubble had some sort of play value. :D
STOP IT STUART, HE'S ALREADY DEAD
Property destruction ensues. What is Dan going to sit on for the rest of the month?
His ass.
Thankfully, Dan will have an ENTIRE day to figure out a solution. Right?..
I'm actually really liking the stickers.
that first gun was a harpoon sniper :o
Yes it's just soap bubbles, it recommends you go outside in case of spillage.
These aren't fairy wings, that's Barbie's signature Energon armor.
Thus proving that Barbie is part of the Cybervese continuity.
For two Brits, their knowledge of firearms continues to surprise me, lmao.
Why does that surprise you?
@@Gambit771 because guns are so taboo over there
They're both gamers tho. You don't need to actualy own firearms to be able to identify them.
That rifle that had tubes and chemicals looked like some kind of hookshot. It seemed to have a rope spool on the bottom and a hoot near the cannon.
wow Day 5 they do an unintentional Nigel and Marmalade reference
HOBBITS OFF THE PORT BOW
I'm fairly invested in whatever is going on in the description
Dan's being very impatient and not very forward-thinking.
It's entertaining, and will be even more so when it comes back to bite him.
I think that's some kind of grappling hook gun.
Can't believe you've worn the same clothes for exactly 5 days straight. Wouldn't be surprised if you're still wearing them tomorrow
"for exactly 5 days straight"
They both wore a sweater on days 1, 2 and 3; now they both are wearing a t-shirt.
@Okurka. Small correction. They wore the T shirts on day 1. 2&3 were the sweaters, and 4&5 was T shirts again.
@@anndownsouth5070 TBF, I didn't bother to check the main channel.
@Okurka. I just went back to see what they wore the first day. I was surprised on day 2 when they were wearing something different.
Ok, I’ve been googling & it looks like the ring thing comes off (so you can also wear it) and if you put it back in the other way, the wings tilt outwards, like they should!!
