Some form of a spinner is always a good choice. I think a paddle tail on a ball head is a must have river/creek bait to pack. Almost as important as a tube or Ned
It’s pretty much the same with some new spots to learn like the riffles, current seams and eddy’s. Managing moving water and obstacles takes practice but is so much damn fun
Nice video Greg. We used to catch a lot of smallies on the tube baits up in Minnesota. Sometimes that's all they would hit. Still use them but noy quite as much with the advancement of soft plastics. Thanks for the video my friend.
The stupid tube is nice but if you’re tube gets tore you have to cut the line every time you need to change it but I found an awesome way to fish a tube weedless, the Trokar TK190 tube hook and regular Eagle Claw tube hook is a bit cheaper but it’s the same hook just sharpened differently but you can rig it Texas rig style and change your tube anytime you want
That’s a good hack! I find that tubes are pretty durable and hold up to damage way better than most plastics, but…. Your right having to re-tie is a pain in the ass. Every time I have ever Texas rigged a tube it tends to have a different fall and does not spiral on the fall. Have you experienced that with that hook?

Yeah the paddle tail is a great choice, I have just been having incredible success on the chatterfluke in my area
Great tips for the river Greg. Definitely love a tube and a underspin/spinner myself for the river! The tube is definitely a overlooked bait!!🎣💪
It’s crazy how effective the tube is for smallies in my area. Thanks for tuning in Malone. I hope your catching
The name alone got me to subscribe. Also, you dropped some meaningful content!...✊🏾
What Up Frank! Welcome to the community! We are happy that you are here. Thanks for tuning in 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Some great choices for sure! Thanks for sharing this with us!
It truly is my pleasure thanks for watching and interacting!!
Great video Greg , I used to love the Mepps Aglia with the Black blade with yellow dots .
The Killer B!!
I am working on overcoming my river fishing intimidation. These are some good baits.

Hey Jerry thanks for tuning in. The choices of plastics these days are astounding! Sometimes the OG baits just work the best. Thanks for tuning in.

Ya man!! Nice video as always. Wabash brother!!!
Yeah Boi!!!
dead on on the spinner bait ,and add trailer hook and its the best bait
It makes sense to throw a trailer hook on it especially for smallies, but I like to throw my spinnerbait in some junk
I always take a black 5 3/4” Lucky 13
Hard to find but deadly
I’m gonna have to look that one up. Thanks for tuning in
