Mildly Adventurous on the Camino de Santiago

I walked 532 miles of the Camino de Santiago Frances. I walked from Pamplona to Santiago de Campostela in 31 days (30 actually walking) in September/October of 2023. These are my thoughts about walking the Camino. Enjoy the sights, and sounds.
This was completely shot on my cell phone, the Samsung 21 Ultra. No production music, or sound effects were used. Everything you see and hear actually occurred on the Camino.

Well done Brad. A great summary of the Camino though staying in small hotels with reservations can be a less stressful experience. Loved your interviews and great pics! Congratulations and Bien Camino! Jim D.

At the most crowded seasons, people were reporting that the small hotels were all full up and not taking any more reservations while the municipal albergues still had room, because people were only looking for places they could book.

Freeness and wildness! Well said that man. What month did you complete it? I was there September..from Zubiri it was a terrible experience. Full of plastic pilgrims!

Sad to see it so crowded with people who frankly are not Pilgrims...just hikers larping as Pilgrims.

I first did the Camino 30 years ago. I used to go every 3 years. But not any more, because just like everything else, it's been ruined by Americans. Every pilgrims journey is a deeply personal thing, which gets invaded by Americans vlogging every second of the walk doing a commentary. People can't even rest in the evening without Americans filming everything. All the historical spirituality of the walk has been stripped away by Americans. Destroying everything you go near. Another tradition changed forever. Congratulations.

Bikers are not pilgrims, it’s cheating, that’s easier. Anyone can use wheels to get there but I don’t think the original pilgrims had wheels !!
