Incredible efficiency and power of modern woodcutting technology.
Sawmill in the Netherlands! !
Beautiful hardwood, straight grain, no defects, spike knots, nothing, just clear lumber. Worth a small fortune, this one log.
Yes. Too bad you need 5 million dollars worth of equipment to turn it into something you can work with.
And it took 500 years to grow.....

Awesome tow-motor skills too. I used to work in a large metal-fab shop and had to learn how to put a 40'-0" piece of wide-flange stock through a 20'-0" door. It took me a while before I was able to do that... :)
They got it down to perfection !
I like watching these woodcutting videos just to see what the wood looks like on the inside. Saw a video from Japan, just before this video, that had the prettiest wood. Saw one a couple days ago, too, that had this really nice golden colored wood. Wish I knew wood types. Would like to know what type they’re cutting.
Darn that is some beautiful stuff. What i could build from just one slab of that first log. A house. Great video. Thanks
How much would a log of azobe that size cost in Europe? ??
Looks like an old Brenta 60" head saw unit -good old piece of kit ..superb
Looks like a fun place to work
What a beautiful mahogany trunk, really beautiful.
Haven't seen a hyster lift truck that old in over 50 years
Model HE 150. I remember. From São Paulo - Brasil. I worked Hyster during 1959 at 1963
Hitler used those two forklifts to move his none functioning tanks.
Se parece a la h155 vieja
I ran one at Northeast Treaters in Belchertown MA . I'll never forget it, i was running it on 911
@@tombeauregard1926 dude I live one town away from Belchertown ma! Are they still in operation?
was the wood purple heart. it was gorgeous.
Ohhhh this is too much big ...i surprised ..
The subtitles are VERY helpful!
Very nice work
0:20 Metal Detector finding Nails Etc! Better now than when the SAW BLADE HITS IT!!!
Looking for railroad spikes that killed many workers when machine hits it
Standard procedure in every sawmill I have worked in.
they always do that...especially when you get 'tree huggers' and conservationists putting spikes in trees to deliberately cause an accident
YEE HAW
Cool
Forklift pros
Great coordination with the fork lifts!
Ratty Woof yea, not their first rodeo for sure. 😜

Beautiful wood
That's some VERY expensive wood right there.
I remember our huge band saw in High School. You could cut out a whole project while it had been turned off and was just coasting.
Good sized fence post .

Looks like purple heart, very slow saw.
Azobe
BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF WOOD A RARE FIND
I would love to have one slab. Wow
Very good job , but dangerous
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
You need bigger forklifts like the house that can carry 26,000 lbs.
Can you add more advertisement?
very welll
Besar besar ya kayu nya.....
Big tree kkkkk
Nice resale.
That's one hell of a beam, I wonder what it's for, and what it's worth?
It's some kind of HQ dutch wood. I'd guess 2-3K for one that size delivered.
@@luckyvet it's 100%not European timber. Europe doesn't have trees that big available for commercial logging. It's imported probably form Afrika
@@luckyvet keep going...the milling cost would be around that number when you factor in fuel wear n tear on the machines electricity wages etc
Good👍👍💪
Those are toothpicks compared to the boards that we snipped back in the 50's.

Gostaria de saber de onde vem essas madeiras
💪💪💪
You sure that log weights 18000kg..thats 40000 lbs...seems high...it's not ciment..🤣🤔
Seems about right...0.58 radius and 14 m long gives you 14 cubes. A dense hardwood runs to 1250 kg per cube.. works out to just over 18 tons..
Purple heart?
More stone age bollix!
I’m guessing that’s going to be made into wooden boat planking?
Topical wood!
Look like purple heart

Cholera...
Very cool equipment, at the same time, so sad that such a beautiful tree is now lumber.
What a strange place to look for gold 🤔 0.17
I like how they were checking with a metal detector. More mills should follow that practice.
El daño q causan es irreparable. Condenados están de por vida!!!!😈😈😈😈😈😈
Those poor forklifts !

I need to get 2 fork lifts ....
Why is the title in English, which leads you to believe that the video is in English. NOPE
mate, it's Dutch and not Japanese. You should really be able to get the gist of it.
Why does this feel like a saw mill from the 1970's?
It's unfathomable that such primitive facilities and working conditions still exist in the Western world (The Netherlands in this case).
The uneven floor with tripping hazards everywhere, machines with uncovered moving parts and pinch points, personnel working near or even between the moving parts an pinch points. The forklifts that should have been retired more than a decade ago. Not to mention the incredibly hazardous way the logs are moved around with equipment thats clearly not able to handle such extreme loads. Notice how the forklift lifts its rear wheels off the ground when lifting the log, losing all steering in the process and risking tipping forward, potentially dumping the 20 tonne log right in the path of the cameraperson.
Person operating the bandsaw doesn't seem to be wearing any hearing protection.
Looks like amateur hour over there.
I work in a saw mill that was built in the 80s and we have way better equipment! This place is ghetto for sure 😂
@@bighossjohnson625 GTA 2 - summed it up in a phrase - Hack 'n Slash ?
Safety is important but I have seen safety features put in that made it more hazardous. Safety guards is put in for stupid people. I bet this mill has very few accidents because they are good at what they do. Also Safety systems have closed a many of job down because it was no longer a profit.
Building look to small a poses obstacles. A newer open design would help.
Always seems a bit sad to me, cutting down trees that size.
The sawmill was not what impressed me. it was the tow motor drivers
Time to get new trucks mkay... look for Kalmar trucks.
Wonder what species of tree this is?
Is that a guilliet make bandsaw?
oh, so thats it. with 3.3m view only couple of thousand likes. thats why
Good fork lift drivers..... Its hard to work in tandem.
Nothing was particularly good about their driving
One of the most dangerous things in this video, even with 2 lifts the weight was lifting the steer wheels off the ground. Reminded me of Flintstone construction, it just doubled how many things could go wrong.
mondo odnom It looked easy because they were experts. It would take a lot of skill to keep the two machines coordinated handling a log that big.
nice bit of over load on forks and lifting with one fork that will be bent in time or snap !
Who the hell uses biggest and giant in the same sentence
Ho wow
Think about the safety, safety? what safety 😂
Hyster must been well built or these guys took care of it
A little bit of both, of course.
Wieviel ist so ein Stamm Wert?
What name is these kind of wood is?
Need English subtitles...
rain forrest killer
Tift people this is trop Africa

You might consider at least putting the species of the tree in English

Resaw
That saw has quite a bite with all those teeth
Please what the kind of the wood
what kind of tree they are cutting
loaded the video nice, but not courties enough to explain what is happening. waste of time.
Syed Javed Ahmad It’s pretty obvious what is happening.
