I did find the betfair's page, but had the same problem with the page as you. Just gave up in the end. Just review my recording now. Thanks Caan for the video.
Extracting this data into Excel is a nightmare. JSON format, .tar files, bz2 files, etc etc. Is there anyone out there that can take us through the process in detail?
Unless you have skills in loading data to a SQL server/database/data warehouse forget the JSON route. I would suggest you learn VBA (don't worry its' not tough). There are loads of UA-cam videos out there which will get you going on VBA to API. There is a great book 'Programing For Betfair' which I would highly recommend.
@@pnr8uk I actually read that, it is complete garbage. There is no practical use in that book, dont waste your time. @grahamBeyer, I have the data already sourced from betfair as bz files and I wrote a script that puts it into a nice csv format with all the starting odds as well as the scores if you are interested, let me know! I have the entire football games for all major leagues (14 of them) for 2019 as well as 2018. I am downloading 2015/2016 and 2017 as we speak and thats how far the historical data goes...
@@galhulli5081 Hello have you used the paid dataset or the free? I have looked and extracted, from the free data, the last traded odds from all games this month and it's just to poor, it almost doesn't have any samples.
Maybe you didn't understand me, I just try to help. Being programmer is very difficult and if I give a way to import a json file, for me it's fine. I couldn't convert it because I haven't a Excel 2016 in my PC. It's the reason why I asked.

Isnt there something like pro form and Dataform that you can analyse the Betfair market like they do with horse racing data?

@rancid sausage Thanks, that great.
I love this stuff. Thanks Caan.
Hi Caan, have you used this type of data on your trading journey? Or is this more for folks with a computer background.

Hi sar Betfier ples link
Miss your ladder vids Caan.
I've seen a vid about how to convert json files to excel. Has anyone tried that?
Why not ask them on their video? Why come here and ask?

Is pre race trading a strategy that is too saturated as it’s as if every man & his dog is doing it. Also do you plan on doing a recent P&L sheet?
