Unboxing of the power craze Shift 24 RC, this little RC has some pretty cool features and might be the missing link between Hobby Grade RC's and Kids toys.
They are sold at Wal-Mart for $30. I have the smaller one which was just called Power Craze. It's so stupid fast you can't drive it. It was only $15. No parts of course so when it breaks you're done but I will say I've had $15 of fun and it's still going.
The tire will sit with just one side on a bead, I run mine with the tire stretched out on the rim and I run two quarters on each side. It goes stupid fast with good traction
I bought one at Costco but had to return it because it wouldn’t charge, now I want another one! That thing would be a beast with some scramblers and a new servo? You almost made it up the course. Lol.
I also got one from Costco but my steering doesn't work. Trim adjust moves the wheels just fine but you can't really use that as your steering... The little I was able to move it in a straight-ish line makes me want another. Just waiting for Costco to get them back.
I literally just bought one of these a few hours ago didn't even look at the reviews but thinking of mods somehow. Maybe just putting the electronics into something better
you can put a new esc and recever and servo in it they just have to be really small and you can upgrade the battery to a 1s lipo battery so its both toy and hoby but the price of a toy grade.
You didn't do it justice running it on your slippery floors. Kept spinning out because it's very quick for his size if you would have took it out onto any type of concrete or Road surface to show it's attributes and it's actually a damn durable, and very fast car. I've been running it with my 4-year-old here in the living room jumping it over some little jumps. It holds the charge very well it's really quick and I'm impressed that the servos hold up, and it's battery life. I bought two of them at Costco for I think 15. 99 each no more than 19.99 I can't remember.

I actually bought 2 (one red and one blue, because price was good and you know....lockdown). My initial assessment: 1. Aligning them is a bit finicky...a little to the left, a little to the right, but difficult to get straight. 2. One makes more of a whirring sound than the other when driving. 3. If you stop suddenly and put in reverse, the rear lights go bright red, but the vehicle is otherwise unresponsive (both vehicles) 4. Because the transmitter is cheaply built, it is difficult to apply gently pressure for smooth takeoff. It can be done but takes practice. Notwithstanding, this is a very nice toy with kids and adults alike able to enjoy it. Thinking of putting on an fpv camera and seeing what sort of range i can get out of this. I haven't run the batteries down yet, so i cannot verify run times.
Like the car won’t respond to the controller? Is it to far away? Some of these cheaper RC cars don’t have a very long range so you have to stay pretty close to the car
@@Olywa17 I’m not sure what the issue could be then, the only other thing I can think of is maybe the batteries in the controller are getting low? Beyond that I’m not sure what the problem is, sorry 🙁
You can tell theyre cheap junk but as far as toy grade theyre fun. They get electrical issues real easy and lots are faulty out of the box. I also find the response is terrible.

I’m semi inclined to agree with you on that :) but also it doesn’t have a proper ESC or steering servo or even a removable battery so I think it could be considered either a toy or hobby grade 👍🏻

The soft tires should've been used on your course for better traction and control. I have a Soul Desert 2 I tricked out to COMP LEVEL.
I have both the Dune 24 and the Shift 24 and to me they're the best cars.

Nice, yeah there is a brand called Team Associated that makes a 1/28 scale car that’s similar 🤙🏻
I put a 1000mah 1s in mine and a slightly stronger motor and it makes a prettt good small scale crawler now

Like the car won’t respond to the controller? Is it to far away? Some of these cheaper RC cars don’t have a very long range so you have to stay pretty close to the car

It's normal ; there is no LED on while charging. But at the end of the charge a red light will come on

When you go into the specs and it’s Portional so it’s hobby grade in my opinion but that’s me
