- How To Use A Slate Call For Turkey Hunting. Here I am gonna show you how to use a slate call for turkey hunting. Slate calls or pot calls are used and are very effective. I am using a Grand Slam Turkey hunting slate call in this video made by Freddy Cox. I will demonstrate how to make a yelp on the slate along with how to cluck with a slate. I will also show how to purr and cut with a slate call.

Dont have a slate, only because I havent found one that I like the sound of it. What I do have is a Primos power chrystal. Have had it now for at least 15 years now and that baby sounds good buddy. Maybe some day I will come across a slate that I like. That slate you have does sound very good though! Richard from Kansas;)
Yep It takes a while at least for me it did to find that one call that sounds good... I love Primos calls they do sound good and I've met Will Primos he's a real nice man
Yep it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Thanks for watching

You know over the years I have bought so many from him that I have forgotten all the names of the difference woods. So I am not 100% sure sorry
