There is far less writing thank you notes. Everyone appreciates a handwritten thank you note. It says you took the time to value and appreciate the recipient and it is a very meaningful gesture. Handwritten notes always - not via the computer as in an email -- which is so impersonal....in my view.
I still hand write thank you notes… i like to think about the person opening their mail and seeing a cute thank you card among junk mail and bills and making them smile
I love sending hand written notes to people. If I receive a gift or go to someone's home for an occasion, I will send a thank you note. But, yes, I feel I send many more cards than I receive throughout the years... I still love doing it 😊
Hi! Great productive weekend video. I'm glad that you included exercising in your videos. Not so many here in yt not do that. Your food stuff is always inspiring. After busy workweek I try to exercising in weekends. Otherwise chilling with good book or movie belongs my weekend. Thanks for sharin. Have a nice weekend.
Sophie, I think sending cards is a dying art. I still do it, though. I send / give out 500 - 600 cards a year. 300 of those are Christmas cards & the rest are mainly bday cards. We've noticed that the younger generation isn't sending out graduation or wedding announcements either. At our church, there is a bulletin board & people just attach 1 announcement for the entire church. We have a rule that if we do not receive a personal invitation, we do not send a gift. Of course, I sometimes break that rule. 😅 Great video today. 😊
Love hearing your insight on this! I didn't even think about the wedding invite part, but you're right, I am getting more and more e-vites to things and not necessarily receiving thank yous in the mail 🤔
@SophisticatedOrganization Absolutely. I don't mind technology for some things but you want my money or my gift certainly you can afford a paper invite. They're so much cheaper these days. 🤪
I wonder if thank you notes are an American thing? Not seen it done here where I life. We usually just say 'thank you' in person when we get a gift. I've also never gotten a thank you card for any presents I have given people for their weddings and stuff.
Sending thank you notes is NOT a dying task. It shows good breeding.
I'm with you, I just feel like I see less of it!

Exactly how I feel, I think it is so nice to both give and receive them!

Great to hear you enjoy that part, I do a mix of home workouts and going to the gym so it is fun to share it as a part of my day because it is!
Sophie,
Hoping that you and the family are staying safe as the tornadoes come through Nebraska.
Thank you so much, luckily we are all safe!
I still do thank you notes and appreciate when I get them. It seems like nowadays gifts are not even acknowledged which is sad.
Love the recipes!
So glad!!

This younger generation has not been taught proper etiquette.

No, I still make my kids write thank you cards for any gifts that they received. My son even ordered himself one of those wax stamp kit
