this is just too accurate for me. I'm getting so tired of living in this world of surface dwellers. I guess it is my lot to be perpetually unfulfilled, disappointed, and completely misunderstood. And having a b'day of 7/4 doesn't help either.. No solace in friends, in family, and for the most part,in solitude. At 71 I'm definitely feeling like time is running out. ...I just dream of some quiet corner in this insane world to find some peace and contentment. But why do I still have this burning sense of
purpose?? Why do I still want to heal others? Very few have any interest in what I have to offer. Apologies for the venting .

I am an INFJ, and this is not me. I love birthdays, including my own. Totally not reflective of infj’s. In fact, my birthday is a time of celebrating friendships, remembering friends and family who have passed, finding deep reflection and gratitude. It’s not about me.
Saying it's not reflective of infj's is just as true as saying it is for all infj's. Just because 1 thing doesn't apply to u, doesn't mean u should dismiss it for everyone. Every word was true for me, and I imagine based on infj characteristics, probably is for most. Every video topic isn't gonna check a box for everyone. Doesn't make it not valid overall. That logic would allow me to say to u, well then, u must not be an infj, and that wouldn't be true.
I am an INFJ, and I love birthdays, especially for my kids, because it makes them feel noticed and appreciated. Every year I plan big party for my birthday because I see my kids and family and friends really needing to have a day of laughter and fun. I guess I don't care too much when people pay attention to me . I like to spend time with one person at a time. But I can't handle when people spend too much time in my house especially if they sleep over I just want them to leave. Hmm maybe I am not an INFJ because I overshare
Lots of good insight here! For me, it's a day of disappointment, a day when my wishes are not considered, another day when I am not "seen," just like every other day. Lots of memories of disappointments. I remember when my new fiancé attended a voluntary meeting the night of my birthday (our first together), rather than have dinner with me. I laid in bed and cried. That SHOULD have been a deal-breaker for the marriage, but I didn't think I really "deserved" to be celebrated by the one person who should have known me best. So many birthdays spent at restaurants I didn't want to go to, getting flowers that were meaningless to me and died ... getting a small piece of jewelry that he wanted me to have, rather than the one thing I really wanted. It may sound ungrateful, but these are bricks in a building named, "I see you, but I don't care enough to honor your wants and values."
As a classic infj we also need to exhale sometimes.

I thought this is just me, 50 years old this year, never once had a birthday party. It feels so weird.
It gave me chills when i get figured out like this 🥶
but it’s nice to be remembered atleast and if there is an effort, then the deed is done, so at the very least I show appreciate which i do but problem is i have to express joy, the hard part is to express it while having a face like this -> 😑

I'm INFJ and I don't hate my birthday. I'll celebrate it big every 5 years while in between it could just be a little dinner or brunch with the family. 🙂
I hate my birthday. I don't like it even being acknowledged. I do fear growing old. I fear becoming immobile, and looking like a wrinkled up prune. Its something I am slow to accept.

I kinda liked my birthdays up til 13 when I had an adult invited that didn't really know me asked me if I was lieing about my age as they thought I was 20, then birthdays didn't really feel enjoyable and it got worse 6 yrs ago when a beloved uncle passed 5 days before 😢 I really don't care to celebrate or expect some to say anything anymore, I'd rather focus more on my nieces and their bdays

I've had 2 birthdays in 60 yrs one at 30 a total surprise party the other at 60 though it wasn't great or Anything it was just ok
This isn't accurate for me. I however HATE birthday's where it's half a**ed, not thought out...Or too much of a surprise.
If I know someone really is trying to understand me & have a fun time doing something they know I enjoy & it was well thought out...I love just about anything. Big or small. Spotlight or none. Quality experiences matter the most to me in general.
