I really love these "In Too Deep" vids as someone who's been somewhat casually interested in TFT since Set 1! Feels like the perfect level of explanation of the strategy. Would love to see more!
@@FrodanTV wtf only 43k? i remember seeing you casting hearthstone way back in the day, assumed you had way more subs just based on having been around for so long
im like an ultra noob so a lot of these things are beyond my comprehension, so I am extremely grateful for all those breakdowns of the augments, they are so informative!
That last fight play was just wow.. just a question: my problem is not perform well while been contested.. either if i just powerlvl to bleed less or just try to hit the board contested, its just a bot4 most of games (for the other guy too anyway) not specifically talking about kaisa comps, but in general, what to do in those contest situations?
You have the right idea. Push levels and try to maintain higher health/stronger board and wait for the other player to bleed out. Try not to pivot unless you absolutely need to. The other option is to roll like a madman all the way down early
If you're contested you have to evaluate whether you have the option to hit a 2*/3* earlier than your contestant. If it's unlikely plan ahead and keep the option open to rush and find the next higher vertical (e.g. they're rerolling 5 fated 3* but you rush and get 7 fated compensating for 2* aphelios/thresh). You can also stay open to pivoting into something yet uncontested. Sometimes a lower winrate comp might be open (currently for example duelists, arcanists, mythic, ghostly) but has a decent mid to late game and it lets you push toward legendary comps as an out. Generally if you are contested aim to have the strongest board possible at all times so you don't lose too much HP in the shaky phase by slamming items or buying additional 2* tanks or damage dealers to both keep you afloat and thin the pool.
@@FrodanTV got it.. sometimes its just scary to roll down, hit nothing, and now youre doomed no strenght and no econ.. but if i do nothing im gonna bleed anyways. ty for the feedback u vids are super helpfull
@@psychoedge i see, my mind is in the right place then, but im realizing now that i sacrifice too much hp for the sake of econ, like not rolling down when i clearly need to strengthen my board and estabilize, just to hit econ thresholds faster and sorta.. gotta pay attention to that. ty for the toughts
frodan, maybe you could do a guide on the best 4/5 cost holders for ornn's artifacts?? since we are getting some new artifacts on may 1st if im not mistaken, it would be great to have a guide about the best users of each one of them! love your guides and your in depth analysis btw
I've legit just been econing to 6, level shenna to two stars for the big pieces and then just use that to Windstreak until you can level to 8. I know I'm not insanely high rank, but I am almost plat one, and I find that by using this I am able to top 4 almost every game unless the entire lobby is super high rolling.
As you get to higher elo everyone plays the same way that's why this patch/meta is so trash. There is only a few viable comps and whoever can highroll first usually has the advantage of top 4. Of course there are always high elo plays like the last one but yea. High rolling is so strong because of the bag size changes at least that's what I've been experiencing. I've bot 4 many times because when I roll 20g to try to stabilize and don't hit its basically over.
Good video, but cmon. Using gameplay where he finds Kaisa on carousel early, hits galio in a 2% shop, and a double udyr in shop on level 7, follow by udyr on next carousel is just dumb. Everyone can have good games if they high-roll like that. Huge props for the last play tho! That’s why he is the number 1
winstreak with fated. pivot into 5costs at 9 is my favourite way to play this set, got to diamond this way when my highest rank ever before was gold, fated just feels insanely strobg earlygame when you can play 5 for the whole board buff using ahri and yasuo or ahri and thresh depending on what i need, either burst defense or defense over time
Not an official channel, but www.youtube.com/@TFT-HuanMie uploads some of his games. ua-cam.com/video/x2cmO-oiTq4/v-deo.html also features a crazy last round play.
honestly i rather play win streak into irelia carry or simply fated in this meta rather than kaisa. My fortune rolls are like 2/3 into 6 for like 70% of the time and that's basically a bot 4 in a high tempo game cuz that griefed my early tempo/hp and cashout timing/value. the kaisa comp also heavily rely on 2 star 4 cost frontline and if your first roll at 4-2or 4-5 dont hit at least 2 out of 3 it's just doomed
I follow this guy on twitter. He is also top 10 on marvel snap( a card game with marvel characters that tft players all seem to play to. Boxbox dishsoap etc) He is rank 15 on there lol
Infinity force actually isn’t great on Kaisa, it’s more a front-line bruiser (particularly Yone / Voli who can use every single stat) with how much defensive stats it gives that you’d sac on Kai’sa
it blew my mind the last play how he decided to tank a back liner, that was insane, great video and great analysis as always
27:01 this udyr healing at the end :0
Half of it is coming from the off-side Rakan + trickshot's bounced-healing.
This game was an insane display of skill, thank you! And really good commentary as always, very helpful!

because tft is a dead game, low player base = low viewership
Well, hullcrusher not only gives him defensive stats but also +30% as for every crusher, so it was also buffing xayah's offensive abilities
Yeah totally, just something you wouldn't consider unless you're thinking on a much deeper level!
Equally incredible game and commentary! This game helped me realize I am not actually good at this game at all 😅

be wary that the skill curve gets extremely steep at higher elos, what works in plat might not work in master at all
