What were your first Investigators you used for The Dunwich Legacy? Hope my choices aren't too terrible! 😄

Agnes Baker, I just really like the mystic class right know. But we actually had some problems with investigating because my girlfriend was playing with zoey. So we were a little bit low on that site. We still have the last two scenarios left

@@mrtom3840 Nice! My friend is actually playing Agnes Baker for our playthrough. She seems like a fun investigator. I'm also playing Zoey in that too haha.

One non-spoilery deckbuilding tip I'd give for Dunwich is to watch out with including cards that give you a lot of card draw, so keep that in mind when upgrading Monterey (Mystics don't normally have tons of card draw, but Seekers do). It should become very clear why that is in the first or second scenario.

Ooh good to know! That's too bad I love drawing cards haha.

If we're talking about "that encounter card in dunwich" - I think it's much better to include cards that can counter it, rather than to just avoid drawing cards. Card draw is always good, it helps literally every investigator and will power you through scenarios. To deal with Dunwich successfully you just need encounter protection. Ward of protection, deny existence, forewarned, counterespionage, etc etc

@@additionalsnacc That is true, but I think Kiratze has a fairly limited collection consisting only of the new release format and the starter decks (but correct me if I'm wrong) so I kept that in mind with my feedback.
Like, from your examples he would only have access to Ward of Protection (which has to be lvl.2 to help Monterey) and Forewarned. There's also William T. Maleson, but that takes the splash slot of Monterey (and he generally has cards he'd prefer instead of Maleson).

Just starting the game I'd avoid taking much/any specific card advice! It's more fun to play them in scenarios, figure out what works and move on from there. Remember, you're playing with both investigators and many cards that weren't around when The Dunwich Legacy came out, so you have a big advantage.
Sneak Attack / Backstab are pretty solid on Monterey. I'd say you're a bit skill light for Monterey. I would also really recommend you take your whole 5 splash cards on any investigator that can take them. Your deck seems a little investigation light, so something in that direction, maybe.
The Jacqueline deck looks fine. You could split up the perceptions between Jacqueline and Monterey. When you cancel the tokens with Jacqueline it is as though you never revealed them at all - You essentially take 3 tokens and pick 1, so Ritual Candles do not give you a stacking effect there.

Appreciate the advice! And yah, I just wanted some extra thoughts (like this comment!) before diving in haha.
And thanks for clarifying Jackqueline's ability. Still seems decent though since on easy/standard the symbol tokens are usually -1's so being able to have my choice of potentially just a 0 for the modifier might still be good. I'll look through the collection some more and see if I want to replace it.

I totally agree with this, as long as there arent any glaring mistakes that will ruin your fun (like taking switchblade lvl 0) there should just be a lot of experimentation at the start, to just see what playstyles are for you. but you seem like a good deck builder so i dont think you need much advice for the start

Also at 14:28, sadly, this doesn't work. If you cancel a token, it is as if it has never been drawn.

At 13:20 you mentioned playing the familiar so you can have both shriveling and rite of seeking out at the same time,
which makes it sound like you think you have only one arcane slot without the familiar.
Just in case you misunderstood a rule or something, investigators have 2 arcane slots as a baseline.

Haha yah I got that corrected from someone else. Definitely made it harder for myself!
