Today is my 4 week anniversary..down 30.2 lbs. Was babysitting grands and was making them pancakes and sausage.. Nana out of habit took a bite of said sausage....OMG. It was down before I realized..about an hr later...🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢 WONT DO THAT AGAIN 😢 I HOT THE BYPASS...This was the first negative thing that has happened other than a few days of over fullness. I would not change a thing other than the sausage..lol
Very informative video! Like the way you covered each decision point. I’m 20 months post op Gastric Bypass. Initially thought I wanted the sleeve because it seemed “less invasive”. Made decision after discussion with my surgeon based on my history of GERD. Thankful no issues or complications. Glad I made the decision. 😊
I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I think it is a misconception that the sleeve is less invasive. There are some areas that the sleeve may be a better choice for a patient, but I don't believe that is one of them. It sounds like you made a well-thought out decision with your surgeon. Congrats on doing so well!! Yay!
I’ve met with my surgeon one time so far he told me he would be doing the sleeve and never mentioned the bypass. I’ll be asking a lot of questions my next appointment! Thank you Kaki ❤…..Patty
This is such a great video. You touched on the major point for me, which is the Gerd. I’ve heard RNY is the closest thing to cure for Gerd. With the RNY bypass, do you notice any iron deficiencies? The more I’ve been looking into it, it kind of scares me and I see people saying they have to get iron infusions.

Thank you for watching- hopefully you will get the information that you need to make the best choice for you!
I had rny 2012...gained back everything by 2022 and had a revision to SADI 6 months ago...doing great so far...70 lbs down.
Congrats on your success with the revision to SADI! I wish more surgeons did that procedure.

I have never had any problems with deficiencies of any kind but I am militant in taking my bariatric specific vitamins. I think that is key.
