Great video! Thank you for taking us inside the Rainbow Springs State Park. I've never been to the State Park, but I've kayaked up current from KP Hole to the park's swimming area. If you guys are wanting to go camping, I highly recommend camping at nearby Lake Rousseau. My family camped there for many years. It is so enchanting with the cedar trees and Spanish moss along the lake. It's about a 20 drive from KP Hole, but so worth it.

We will definitely check it out! The whole area is amazing. We want to tube from KP hole next. The season ends at the end of September so we will probably do it next season. You should definitely check out rainbow river. It is beautiful park. Thanks for watching!

Love the bungee idea. I have a dry bag and put small things in it and attach it to my tube when we go to Kelly Park. Great idea for Rainbow as you need to bring a few more items with you there. Gonna try the tubing. We went many years ago on a rental kayak and it was a beautiful place.

It is definitely beautiful. I have a dry bag but it is huge. There is this smaller bag I want to get that holds little stuff. We have tubes that have bottom so that makes it easier to carry stuff. Rainbow River tubes don't have bottoms though. Thanks for watching and have fun if you go back. Weekdays are a lot easier to get the park but after labor day they are only open weekends until Sept 30. Tubing season starts again in April.

@@FloridaandBeyond Yes we have some of those tubes also that have the mesh bottoms and there are also some that have zippers so you can take out the mesh bottom if you want. I don't have those type yet. Yeah, we have like four different sizes of dry bags for different purposes. And we usually try to go places on weekdays since we're retired so that works out good for us.
Thanks for the video and look forward to your future adventures.

Thank you! We really try to find as much info on the place as possible. We don't always get it all or we will forget some of it though. We love swimming in the springs!

Hi and thanks, Florida and Beyond for sharing.
Rainbow Springs is on my bucket list and I have not made it yet. Is online booking recommended? I didn't know about the waterfall is artificial. You, two had a good time in the tubes in the springs. Can I launch my kayak or just tubes? You mentioned the restrictions on the swimming holes. Is snorkeling gear, and flippers allowed? The water is crystal clear, and beautiful. Any fish? alligators?
Thank you for bringing Rainbow Springs to my living room. I cannot wait to visit. 🙋‍♀🙋‍♀🛶🛶

Camping reservations are needed. Tubing and visiting the park is first come first serve. Best to go on weekdays as they fill up fast on weekends. You can launch a kayak or canoe from the headspring. It is 1800ft walk from the parking lot to the launch area which you will have to carry your boat. You can easily access river from the campground if you are staying. It did say you can bring your boat and start at the same entrance as the tubing area. You can bring your snorkel and flippers. At the head spring you are only allowed to swim in the roped off area. In the tubing area you can get off at swallow parts and snorkel. The restrictions are float devices. They only allow noodles and lifejackets. You really do need them as it is 10 ft deep everywhere. There are no shallow areas. Lots of fish! You can only fish at campground. It is definitely worth a visit!
