I'm sincerely happy to be one of those people. It's such a genuine baller of a weapon, surprisingly accurate, good rate of fire, great if you hit your shots and such a flex when you kill somebody who brought a weapon that can literally be 10x the price sometimes lol (lookin at you, mosin players.)

@@Naraku150 Remove dumdum from Cenny, or just make it so that you can only acquire them through in-game spawns.
I swear Crytek be adding dumdums to everything, just to fill the battlepass

@@Naraku150 while i agree with you that not every gun needs every ammo type, switching guns is also just fun. I could affort to run a Uppercut with every shotgun kit i run, but instead i play some scottfield, some pax etc just because its fun to have some variety in how the gun feels to shoot

I love the springfield; it will always hold a special place in my heart. It is a nostalgic reminder of the earlier days of the hunt prestige system, when guns were level unlocked.
Im in 5-6 star hell on console where you dont see anything besides dolchs and long ammo rifles or shotguns with slugs but the Springfield is still my go to. Its my favorite. I love the way it feels and i love that its not meta

Petition to buff shorty Springfield Striker to do 150 melee damage.

I think the Centennial makes every job better than the Springfield tbh. But it's fun to play like Martini Henry.
Shorty centennial silencer is one of my favorite guns to play.
The Centennial has lower DMG and can only carry one ammo type. Also has considerebly lower hip accuracy and the increased firerate isn't that much taking animation cancel into consideration (for the Springs).
But strictly speaking of High Velocity ammo, the Cenny may as well be superior. Still, expect a lot of soft headshots if you plan to snipe with it, something that is beyond rare to happen with the Springfield.

The Springfield is my favourite newbie rifle. Cheap, accurate, deadly, only downside is that missing shots are heavily punished.
It really gets you going at the start of the game, you learn how to play carefully, and if you die you didn't lose an expensive loadout.
It definitely isn't used often, but in my west servers, I see guys use either the short springfield, regular spring, or springfield bayonet.
Dude this is my favorite rifle in the game. Its sights are amazing.

I think its the best starter weapon in the game next to the romero. Teachs you how to lead, use different ammo types, different variants, how to use cover after taking a shot.
I use the Springfield on Consoles and thankfully it got high velocity ammo, so I have another option besides Centennial for medium ammo.
The springfield's maniability is weird.
Lighter than Sparks and heavier than winfield, witch just make it a strange middle absolutly counterintuitive.

The ability to bring/switch between both dumdum and HV ammo can be nice, surprised ya didnt show that off more. But I guess with how you mostly go for headshots anyways, HV is the way lol

Want dum-dum pressure? Use Centennial or Drilling, again this guns will be simply better and wont disable on 3 seconds after first shot

I was never a fan of the Springfield. But I feel like even less people use it now as the ammo types that were somewhat exclusive to it (dum-dum, explosive) showed up on other better weapons.
It’s just not the best at anything, but it’s cheap.

Yeah, I used to play a ton of Springfield dum dum, but Centennial just does it better. Springfield is still good, I just don't find myself using it anymore, which is a shame. Centennial really didn't need the dum dum, HV would have sufficed to make it competetive.

i have about 154 hours in this game and about 60+ of which are just in the menu either watching hunt videos or afk, 80+ actual game time and the rest is just contemplating about whether or not i shouldve bought hunt or not (i need a better computer) but i still love hunt content regardless

At this level weapon doesn't seem to really matter. As long as it can land headshots any weapon is playable for him. That's a bit upsetting for low skill players such as myself though
@@IamFilter94 What sucks is that it will put me in a match against players like hornet on a regular basis...it's really not fair tbh their MMR system is horrid.
@@IamFilter94 its absolutely not true, weapons start to matter the more up in the mmr you go. Because of a lot of factors like muzzle velocity, wall pen and damage fallof long ammo is the king of high ranks and shotguns are almost non-existent

i love to shit on people playing springfield. Farming dolch ps in 6 star playing springfiled HV+Dumdum is crazy. ive got like 50 ish dolch p laying around. 74 hunters just to hold guns.
why become a skilled player and get good at aiming when you could take spam weapons like carbine, marathon, dolch or fanning and 2 tap the body, or just rat with shotgun in a bush.
hunt player logic in a nutshell and why you never see sparks or springfield any more, and why the game sucks more than ever.
People always use the best weapons. It was true when I started 4 years ago and it’s true now. It was only a huge problem with the avto + sparks combo.
But you can always just keep your distance or learn from players like Hornet how to fight against them.
Springfield is boo boo it’s makes me laugh when players that are good with any gun say it’s good 🤣 whenever I’m in a fight with a Springfield user I seem to win every time and never die to it
Sad thing is, I may not be at homelessness before I can afford to get a PC and play hunt again, it'll probably be dead by the time I do
