    Seth Meyers proves that all you need is a great host, excellent writing, interesting guests, basic video and streaming equipment and Wally to put on a first rate talk show. I love this show so much!!!! Thank you Seth and all the staff and writers. Thank you Wally.

    I remember how captivated I was as a little girl in Upstate New York gazing up at David Byrne and Talking Heads on early MTV videos. Nothing was like them. "Same as it ever was!" I thought "What is wrong with this man? Why is he so unapologetically crazy? It is so wonderful." I remember 1978 NYC. Thank you for revolutionizing my childhood and making music so twisted and magical.

    Saw the modified show on Jan 1, incredible experience. It was just so unique to see something not polished, it felt intimate. Really appreciate that everyone with the show pulled that version together in only 2 days.

    David Byrne is being too humble: we saw only the second or third performance of the re-configured show and it was already flawless. A band member told me after the show that they had to learn something like 20 new songs in 48 hours. And still, it was just utterly polished. Get a ticket while you can!

    I was at the "Unchained" show on Jan 2nd. Incredible performance and energy in the theater. David Byrne played many of his solo and Talking Heads songs and spoke to the audience about the meaning or background of many of the songs. I'm so thankful to have seen it. Now, to go back and see the actual American Utopia!

    Be well, Seth...happy to hear your COVID symptoms are mild.

    • @bobxoneill
      @bobxoneill 2 роки тому +2

      @Real Aiglon
      "Pandemic of the unvaccinated" has a very specific meaning. It means that the people who chose not to get vaccinated and boosted are the people who will spread and die from COVID. It does not mean ALL unvaccinated people will die from COVID; instead, it means random, unvaccinated, people will die, and others will live. The catch? Nobody knows who will live and who will die. You either don't grasp, or you don't care, that you are gambling with your own life.
      I have lost count of the notable anti-vaxxers who have died from COVID; and, now, when you do get sick, your kind are making treatment demands of the healthcare workers who try to save your life...
      No vaccine will protect all the time, but what the vaccine will do is reduce to almost zero the chance that the vaccinated will die from COVID because we (the people who got vaccinated) have trusted in science to help build an immunity to COVID...an immunity you don't have.

From being a fan of the Heads over the years I've always thought the following - if people have agreed to come together as a unit and write and make music together for such as they have, it would be more graceful to live life in the present with humility and to accept and respect each other - and for all the players in the band to feel they've been respected. We have only one life and it goes very quickly. It's no one's fault in particular but there seems to be a lot of unresolved issues which is sad considering the amount of time they spent together.
