Some stunningly beautiful koi, couldn’t pick a favourite variety, but I think I may have to build another pond 😀. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and well 👍🏻
Beautiful koi but I can’t help but notice the fact there is foamy bubbles on top of the water in small places and the koi turning sideways and rubbing against the ground like they itch.
Fav? The black and white. It’s fascinating, even with the variations. It’s like… cow pattern vs really unique b&w. Really want one. Gonna see if one of my other local shops has one. Ginrin Matsukawabake. (What a mouthful!) 🇯🇵 i’d be lost without knowing a bit of Japanese haha. Like pronunciation. I need to ID all the fish in this pond that came with the house. A stunning one, and one of my favorites, is white with black dapples along the dorsal area, and a red tancho marking.
Those Koi's just remind me a old friend's of mine there just like the Koi's you just show and i miss them😭 there were so big and colorfull and now there gone😞
@@Aboutkoi a few years my mom, dad and i were going to vacation but the thing i didn't know that there was a black out and no one can take care of them and they died couse there's no air😞, Btw i love your video's keep it up😃
Rare in rare, most unique koi variety (except common koi like gosanke, bekko or utsurimono variety) i ever see are not bigger more than 70cm. Absolutely gorgeous 👌🏻
The Hi Asagi is actually a Kado Kuro Goshiki and the hariwake is a Kirin. Thay are both from a dealer in Belgium so is the firt Ginrin matsukawabake and the Doitsu kin Showa.
That Kabuto (hope l spelled it right) it had such amazing face markings it looked like a Cat-Dragon face... I love the Koi with the evenly marked faces...
Thank you very much! Wonderful compliment, and gives energy to make more new video's 👍. And nice choices there! The Ginrin Showa is surely in my top 3 as well, even though it is not 'super' rare
Recently, I have seen the breed Hajiro moved classes from Kawarimono varieties to Kumonryu-Maatsukawabake due to the presence of white fins (or at least white-margined fins). I actually have a hajiro that started as a matsukawabake as tosai. Even though only the pectoral fins retained their white color, the entire body of the fish (including the underside of the belly) stabilized into shadow black color reminiscent of willow charcoal (both to my surprise and delight). That said, Matsukawabake may be considered as fully scaled hajiro extra white in other parts of the body. Conversely, it's equally justifiable to describe a Hajiro as Matsukawabake or Kumonryu (depending on whether normal-scaled or doitsu) with white restricted to the fins and underbelly. The Orenji Ogon is simply perfect (although i prefer the somewhat darker shade of orange similar to a ripe persimmon). The fact that it's also monster-size is a bonus. The Ginrin Narumi Asagi has a few stray orange dots on the blue netting pattern, (one on the left side of the "trunk" and the rest are on the caudal joint). In contrast to your preference, I consider an asagi with a tancho marking on the forehead as extra special compared to one with plain, milky-white head. The mukashi ogon looks like a metallic chagoi, while the kabuto ogon is simply imposing in appearance.
I guess both hajiro and Matsukawabake are quite close to each other indeed. In harder water, the likelyhood of more black developing on the Matsukawabake is strong as well. Glad to hear your own Hajiro (or Matsukawabake ;)) is doing very well with a willow charcoal black effect. And yes, the Narumi Asagi does have some orange that is not placed fully correct. But nevertheless it is very, very difficult to find a Asagi like that and also to keep it like this. You taste for a tancho marking on the head is not my thing, but taste is completely different to everyone of course: and should remain like that as well. Thanks for your reply! And have a great weekend
yup here in the Philippines even the local one kind of koi that is already breed with a local carp is too costly expensive how about the rare ones i guess it cost like my smartphone for the fry one for that rare koi fish😅
What is your most favourite Koi in this video?
This showa is stunning...I got no words to say.
This Ginrin Showa? It was indeed amazing. Not strange it won 'Most Unique' at the ZNA Show in Belgium
Showa and Mukashi is my favorite bc it's look insane colour!

Japan is great, not only for the Koi, but Koi alone would already be enough.❤
I can only agree with you, what a great country to visit!
Thank you for sharing this amazing koi fish
My pleasure! happy to hear you are enjoying the video
Number 4 is unique, superb and absolutely rare. I love it most. Great and interesting video. Thanks.
Many thanks! It is a Matsukawabake. A great variety that you do not see often. They tend to change over time a lot though.
You make absolutely wonderful videos! Thank you.
Glad you like them! Great!

Nice choice! Lovely for sure
She's a beauty❤
Beautiful koi but I can’t help but notice the fact there is foamy bubbles on top of the water in small places and the koi turning sideways and rubbing against the ground like they itch.
Yes, that indeed true. Some of these Koi are displayed at a show. Water quality can be different: which makes them 'itch' sometimes
Wow... Mantap banget, cantik
Thank you!
I love Doitsu koi, specially The Beni Kikokuryo.
Thats a great variety for sure. And development of the variety is nice to follow over the years

Nice! A long Fin I suppose? That looks great on Platinum Ogon variety
Rare in rare, most unique koi variety (except common koi like gosanke, bekko or utsurimono variety) i ever see are not bigger more than 70cm.

That is totally true. More unique and rare Koi usually stay a lot smaller. Thanks for sharing!
They were all incredible but I favor the Doitsu Kin Showa :)
Its pattern is simply beautiful and unique :)
Doitsu Kin Showa, still a small one. But surely beautiful to see! 👍
Such docile creatures
Nice
Thank you!
I like the bright red one with half moons of black.
It is a beauty for sure!
All of them ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Haha, yes! Let's make a pond that big that all of them will fit👍👍
I have a 2 step Ginrin Ochiba Shiguri from Marudo, hoping she grows into a monster!
Very friendly and calm fish...
Nice! Marudo has some big Koi, so the chances are there it will grow big

Hmm.. who knows...
Great video! I'd love to see more on the matsukawabake.
That is a nice topic for later! Thanks for watching!
Wow
Thanks! What is your favourite?
I think my favorite is the Ginrin Showa! they remind me of calico cats :)
The Ginrin Showa is really an amazing Koi. large size for a ginrin Showa as well. The skin is so bright!
The Hi Asagi is actually a Kado Kuro Goshiki and the hariwake is a Kirin. Thay are both from a dealer in Belgium so is the firt Ginrin matsukawabake and the Doitsu kin Showa.

Beautiful koi.
Borong semua boleh mas broo?

Oke? Ada pertanyaan?
Hi there, sorry we are not selling any Koi if that is the question. We just share knowledge about Koi!
I have a doitsu guromo with clear brown 4steps pattern over a white body. I just like to know its rare too.
Doitsu Goromo with a 4 step? That is not very common for sure!
@@Aboutkoi Thanks! That's what people say here too.
I love DOITSU KIN SHOWA .
It indeed is great! Hope to spot it later again on a show 👍
it took me many years to learn we don’t keep koi…we keep water, once we’ve mastered that, the koi take care of themselves.
That is exactly right! Keep your water in good condition, and you will enjoy most!
5:11 omgg it looks like ponyo
I have a metallic orinji ogon , but it becomes draft , it grows big but very very short , it looks like ball now.
Aww that is too bad! How old is the orenji? Maybe it is possible to inprove it a little bit over the next year if it still a young fish
That Kabuto (hope l spelled it right) it had such amazing face markings it looked like a Cat-Dragon face...
I love the Koi with the evenly marked faces...
yes you are spelling it exactly right, Kabuto! Indeed that is what most of them have, makes the complete with perfect symmetry if you ask me 🙂
3 varietys that are very rare that should be included
snow asagi, golden corn and haysai nishki
Yes that are all varieties you do not see often! Nice additions
I like asagi, i Will get one once
That is suerly a nice variety to have in your collection! Good look with picking one

Then you have many unique and less common varieties in Indonesa 😉
You make absolutely wonderful videos! Thank you. Very hard to choose. Too difficult to choose just one. Top 3: Ginrin Showa, Matsukawabake and Kabuto

I wish they would classify the Showa and sanke as one type.
