I remember getting up from seat to leave when the credits were about to roll when suddenly the beat hit and this version of the song started playing. It was so random for a Bond movie. But it was random in the best way possible.
It does seem random! They did do a similar thing with the hot disco version of Shirley Bassey's Moonraker at the end of that movie. I know it sounds like I made that up, but go look. I didn't. I bet that was sort of the inspiration behind including this mix over the credits in 2002.

Saw Die Another Day in the cinemas back in August. I remember the end credits rolling & this song coming on. The cleaners came in & i can tell they were thinking "what in gods name have these lot been watching?"
Always loved this version much more than the original version. Always stuck around at the end of the movie to listen to it play out in full over the credits (which being a sad Bond fan I always do anyway!) Hard to get hold of but very good. Thanks for having uploaded this 5 years ago

I think it was Michel Colombier, who was listed as co-composer. I'm pretty sure Arnold had nothing to do with the song itself.
