The year was 1974 December and Nyanginja was posted at Mbaraki police station, Mombasa. Out of nowhere, he put this song on his red Phillips record player. I was hooked to Lipua Lipua!!
It is so sad when I notice that Izaya Nzayadio is no longer in this world. His unique voice shall remain as a mark of arts for Africa and especially DR Congo (Zaire) music. RIP Nzayadio.
Novelle Generation was among the best Lipua Lipua songs like Temperature, Nsayi, Kinzengenzenge, Sekizenge, Okomi boye, Ndukidi, Nfueni. Rest in peace talented ever shining Nzaya Nzayadyo!
This music takes me back to my secondary school time in the South East of Nigeria in 1970s. The music is not just a music but also a great artistic achievement of Africa as a whole. The man on this stage is not just a musician, a good actor and a dancer, but also the one who is an iconic African musician. I love his voice which makes the music more exciting. May God bless him and bless Congo people. I send my best wish and regard from my place here in the UK to him and people of Congo.
Yeah it was definitely a great time musically. I lived in Liberia at the time. Congolese music was huge on local radio. Here in the US, it's found a niche on college radio stations 🇺🇲
Same here for me.. in the late 70's back in Enugu, during the second republic. Congo music has been with me all my life... Madilu, Pepe Kalle, Aurlus Mabele, Tchico Tchijaya Yondo Sister, Faya Tess, Nyboma, Kilola Toko, Papa Wemba, Legends...Que Dieu benisse le Congo et Le Nigeria 💕
Yes, God speaks to our spirit. For the most part, we are not aware of the message is. My guess Nzayadio was being called upon to bid us farewell. RIP maestro.
OMG, I can remember this music then in Nigeria in the 70’s. It used to be Dad’s favourite 🤩 music and some other Zairean musics in the 70’s. Love ❤️🇳🇬👍🏾
The greatest barritoner of our time.May your soul rest in peace. We shall forever your easy going and humble demeanor.During radio interviews you gave the best including singing alongR.I.P
This music reminds my youthful age in the 90's in eastern part of Nigeria way back in the years when going was good..This man is a natural born musician.❤❤
First time I listened to this song was when I was a small boy, maybe around 6 years old (in 1967). It remains my best even today when I'm on the 6th floor. Orchestre Lipua Lipua and then later orchestre Kamale Kamale. These groups including orchestre Kiam, Mangelepa, Super Mazembe, Bela Bela etc were the best and remains the best ad infinitum. There will never be groups like these ever.
Amaru Moses remembers the olden days together with Drito Martin, Blasto Droma and other brothers from Vuu Panicu.God bless them and they should live longer.
Nzaya when i heard your musical background you began in madilu system group, you came to lipua lipua group later you did solo music after you joined choc stars group but to me the best music group you ever had was from lipua lipua group just classic
This song....Nouvelle Generation which means New Generation or Modern Generation is simply a classic...I could play it all day,non-stop...Right from the early 90s of the 20th Century, when it was recorded right inside a mobile recording studio and published to the world,it has remained spotlessly fantastic...More than 50 years ago....Yet,anytime you listen to it,..it seems as/like it was recorded yester morning...Immortal Song indeed...An indelible mark of the Pride Of African Music...Lipua Lipua !!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
The sweetest of all times! Was then, is today and will live on for ages! The music that swept the souls of many composed and sang by gifted talented people who had a true calling! Still love it today as I still did in the seventies! It was a darling of many homes and jukebox away from home!

They had just hit the rafters in the early 70s at the time my late Aunty, Teresa Awuor Muga's beloved husband, James Okello Were suddenly passed away virtually at the prime of his life
By the time some people with good job and businesses were having no player radios, then I pray to God at the time I grown up to have money so that I have to buy a Radio, But at a time I grow there was no player again but Radio Recorder Tape recorder and Radio Cassettes, As we see these changes, also is how things will when we die we will see all explained in books like Quran and bible are true.
I feel so good to see Nzaya Zayadio performing his own song here which can inspire many young musician to create more suitable music of our time***May God bless you NZAYA***Africa is the mother of happiness through it riche culture and land***
