  • Happy Easter everyone! Spending time with loved ones to celebrate the Christian holiday, Easter, is happening all over the world. To celebrate with you, we have 21 singers in this song ages 6-15. They are singing "Now the Green Blade Riseth" in 3 part harmony, and in the second half of the song, they're singing in 4 part harmony. It's accompanied by the orchestra, with strings, oboe, and percussion.
Easter commemorates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead and is linked to the celebration of new life during Spring.
Join us for "Now the Green Blade Riseth" by the AAI's Assyrian Children's Choir.
This song is a 15th Century French Carol, words by J.M.C Crum, translated to Assyrian by Rev. Shlimoon Betsargis and Sveenie Betsargis-Richmond, and arranged for choir and orchestra by Sveenie Betsargis-Richmond and Wesley Richmond.
Choir conductor, director, and vocal coach: Sveenie Betsargis-Richmond and
Audio and Video Editor: Marshall Jones III
