      @@BonsaiEn There is always something that needs to be done when you have a lot, like I am sure you have, even with my 29 trees that is enough for me to handle.

    Hi, only just found this video. Great explanation, thanks so much. I am a beginner and you may of saved my little trees for me. I have a long way to go to get to this size but this has really helped me understand more. THANKS
    Do you have a followup video of this tree available?

    • @BonsaiEn
      @BonsaiEn  5 місяців тому

      I haven't done any other videos on this tree as yet. it was de-candled for the first time this year and some of the larger cuts that needed to be done where completed. so hopefully now moving forward with the tree we can begin the refinement process. Maybe some of that will end up on the channel.

    When are you cutting back? Mid summer? Why are you leaving that large stub at the bottom facing the front.

    • @BonsaiEn
      @BonsaiEn  2 роки тому +2

      Hi John, cut backs will be done mid summer next season yes, the stump at the front will be taken back this coming autumn as well as all the other stumps on the tree. The stumps are left over from large branches that were removed from the tree a year before potting it up. The stubs are left to dry out and die back and then removed at a later date.

    Hello. Do you think that after repotting a tree you should definitely skip the bud cutting season?

    • @BonsaiEn
      @BonsaiEn  9 місяців тому

      Yes 100%, not only do you want to allow the tree to recover from the potting without ant further stress but you also want to keep the Auxin hormone which will help rebuild the root system. That Auxin lives in the branch tips, so removing that Auxin will not only reduce the trees ability to recover the root system efficiently but it will also trigger the tree to try and flush again while it's in a weakened state.

      @@BonsaiEn I watch a Japanese channel, I remember what he said: if the tree feels good after replanting, then you can pinch or break off the candles

    Why did you put the tree into a pot so quickly if you still developing the tree?

    • @BonsaiEn
      @BonsaiEn  2 роки тому +1

      The Trunk and Structural Branches are developed to where they need to be, The lower branch will still be allowed to grow while the other branches up top begin refinement just to ensure it ends up thicker then the branch above. but just leaving growth on that branch will do that quickly. All the work from here on out is refinement work.
