    New to your channel. I'm on a budget and am going to give the coconut oil a try on some new boots I got. Here in MT the elements are hard on footwear.

    G'day mate good video!, What cleaning do you recommend for a concreter, the leathers wet daily, and at least once a week covered in concrete, sometimes for hours till I can brush it off, I buff them daily with leather polish, but the leather becomes weak after a few months and can cut quite easily on mesh. if I don't buff them they crack in a few months aswell, any tips would be very appreciated, kind regards

    • @TheProvider
      @TheProvider  4 роки тому +2

      Obenauffs heavy duty lp would be your best bet. Have you thought about using some rubber over boots? Concrete is brutal on leather, especially with all the extra admixes they put in it these days.

    • @codemans22
      @codemans22 4 роки тому +2

      Thanking you kindly, ill look into it and give it a try, I really appreciate your reply, i have considered looking for rubber work boots, we use long rubber boots to work in the concrete but short leather out of it, tho it's still a very harsh environment, your shoes come in contact with dry concrete and steal all the time, I wet my boots with warm water stuffed a few bunches of socks in to shape it, sat it near the fire to dry, waxed them and put them out side in the cold, and haven cleaned them since I last wrote, and now they are allot stronger, tho they are dirty as hell, they are way tougher, seems the happy medium is a winner atm

    My roommate decided to throw out my boots and emptied the vacuum into them we aren’t on speaking terms at the moment.

    • @TheProvider
      @TheProvider  5 років тому

      That sucks my friend. I am hoping it was somehow accidental. With some hard work and patience you can get them cleaned up and better than before. Good luck and be forgiving.

    • @Lunalanight

      The Provider sadly no she did it on purpose because her dog used the heel as a chew toy and tried to hide it. She did more damage emptying the vacuum into them then the dog. Video really helped though thanks.
