5.00 ... it just keeps getting better. Are you a Z9 owner. Have you updated? What thinks ye of Nikon's firmware updates for this and other Z System cameras?
I own Z9 & have used all most all Z line cameras. My search for the best Nikon camera ends here.

I haven't seen anything improved with the 5.0 update. A bunch of useless Video crap, but really nothing for Photos.
Firmware 5.0 with the Profoto A10 update (C2) is great. The LED focus assist is a game changer for me and my work.
The Cycle AF is one of the most useful update in this firmware update 5.0.
Sorry Raymond, I don't consider it as a "Major"update, maybe 4.5 as for my likes a major should have the "Pixel Shift" included... A really major feature as P/S included in Z8 & even ZF, should have been in Z9 already... My 2 cents...
I agree that pixel shift would have put the cherry on the cake. I suspect it will come before long. Maybe they're gonna shift the pixels further? 😀

Hi Ray, I have updated my Z9. Not sure if your aware but some of your viewers may have to run the firmware update twice. This will insure that the LF is also updated.I also at this time updated all my lenses firmware also as they where out dated on the Z lens.Cheers

I bought the camera for all the specs it had when it first came out. It just keeps getting better and better
Any improvements to autofocus tracking?
I need to do more testing to give a definitive answer.

Thanks, Ray! I got my Z9 in April, a couple of years ago, and have no regrets. The constant and worthy firmware updates are great. The Z9 just keeps getting better! :)

Great video Ray. Updated the Z9 yesterday. Haven't been able to explore the updates much as of yet. Is that article about your bike trip to telegraph creek available to read online somewhere? Would be awesome to see some of those old pictures also. I hear you on the taking stock thing. One of these days I have to dig out the boxes and boxes of slides I have and see if there are any gems in there. Digital is so much easier now.
