how is the decision reached to have a single decker container freight and a double decker one? does it make any difference between 24 single decker container rakes and 12 double decker rakes? nice video by the way
Indian freight trains on avg used to have 45 single decker wagons but after dedicated freight corridor they carry 45 double decker wagons which can carry double goods than before. Carrying 24 single decker and 12 double decker makes no sense at all none of the country’s railway does this. Hope u understand now!

@@viswanathanseshadri1047 Double decker are there to increase no. Of containers being taken at single time, and no , it makes no difference in carrying same no. Of containers.
We have lenght limits because loop lines length are standard and distances between track changing also matters, hence long trains are a pain to operate because of little flexibility. We do occasionally get longer trains but they can't be stopped unless if there's a part of the track where there is no required track changing for other trains So yeah they just run double stacks like normal trains
