usually to prevent any sparks or flame from locomotives from reaching the petroleum tankers :) Pantograph of electric locomotives in touch with overhead wires often cause sparks which are mostly harmless.

good suggestion but I live far away from Konkan Railway . I just have one video of RO RO Trucks on Trains video on this channel , I shot it while travelling on board Mangala express .
interesting the first train is running long hood forward. a lot of american railroads used to do that in the sixties and seventies. some still do it today.
yes that's an EMD running long hood forward , that's an original design one without the widened cab and I guess even that wasn't satisfactory which finally made railways to manufacture dual cab EMDs in past few years .

yes it is different . Indian railways broad guage is 1676 mm .
Why they use bogie in oil, LPG, Ordinary Water and Chemical tankers in front and back?
usually to prevent any sparks or flame from locomotives from reaching the petroleum tankers :) Pantograph of electric locomotives in touch with overhead wires often cause sparks which are mostly harmless.

Surgiu uma curiosidade, porque em cargueiros o último vagão é diferente e tem um homem com uma bandeira verde? Aguardo resposta pode ser?
The last wagon is the guard's van. And there is a train guard with a green flag(green torch in the night)
