The 3DS had a demo too, it was my first interaction with the MGS series and I've been hooked since.
I remember when I bought Zone of enders just because of that demo and it was broken. Luckily I got a replacement demo

@@subtegralThe ladder climb will still be there and you are right. The ladder climb was A GENIUS disguise for the loading. Though It is not needed it will make things probably much easier and make stuff instantly smoother once you reach the too.

You entered an entrance that turned into a loading screen to then put you in a tunnel/passage way with the ladder that you had to climb and then you had another loading screen after you exited the tunnel post ladder climbing. Like what are you even talking about???? There was nothing loading period during the ladder climb! It was a single cell all by its self.
actual army face paint is total waterproof. it gives you a hard time to remove it actually (also tested that myself).
but, nice to have as a game mechanic anyway

Comes off more like grime or a temporary tattoo. Gotta scrub hard.
Also the Mosin is being used while fighting the ocelot unit, which can’t be done in the original game as if you kill the end on the pier you’ll fight the ocelot unit instead and not get the mosin. Maybe when starting a new game we keep the mosin this time or maybe it’s just for the trailer.

@@subtegral The SVD can be obtained that early in the game, you need to head East after the cutscene with the first Sentry, the same place you come back from one week later during Operation Snake Eater

The attention to details in this remake is absolutely insane! It reminds me of some of the things that they wanted to do at the time I remembered reading about, but the PS2 wasn't powerful enough.
I hope they extend the fight with The End a little bit but not too much like what what Hideo Kojima wanted where the fight would be in real time and would last for days, as stated in DYKG MGS videos. Great game analysis as always PythonSelkan.
Yeah lol. Like it was fun, but the directional mic alone made it just (enter new area, quickly check for his breathing, using whatever cover you had, along with being able to check the sniper spots on your map if you’ve covered them already lolol.)
Like it was a fun fight, but I couldn’t imagine either doing it for days.
Maybe a recurring boss or something if they wanted to extend some areas, have a chance for him to randomly pop up, until finally going “okay we have to “end” this NOW!”
Then they could probably prop it up for some hours, but ye.
But idk, I’m just excited for this remake/aster, since they seem to be being 1 to 1 shot remasters,

The Keratin (or however it's spelled) frog was such a cool detail. I'm so freaking excited for Delta! MGS2 and MGS3 are my all time favorites from the series!
The last one while on the motorcycle can be replaced.
I remember watching the Pachinko videos over and over... i couldn't believe it. So mad at it not being for PS4/PS5. Lost all my hope and thought it would never happen. And here we are! Feels like a dream come true. Makes you wonder... imagine MGS2 next.
I like the fact that they are using some of the mgs v's assets. Actually, mgs v was a great game so there is nothing wrong to use some of it's assets
Gameplay wise it was top teir. But the story was an absolute mess.

God dammit I am so fucking hyped. I played the original Three a bunch when I was a kid, but I couldn't really understand the full scope of the game so I usually just replayed them over and over with one particular strategy that I stumbled acrossed.
A few weeks ago I picked up the master collection and am now about to beat the third game.
I have learned so many little nuances and mechanics that I never comprehended before and I cannot wait to play this remake and see how much of it is carried over.
Seriously, I played Snake eater on the PS2 dozens of times and I never knew that the L1 button doesn't just let you zoom in with scoped weapons, it apparently also lets you strafe. Why does the game never tell you that?

Actually Konami stated in a video with hayter that if the remake does well and they are quote "suitable to carry on the series" then they will probably remake the rest of the solid series

There's no pointing in remaking/remastering Ground Zeroes and V: The Phantom Pain, and 4: Guns of the Patriots could be released with an HD remaster. I do think it would be super interesting if they could re create all of the games on this level of detail in chronological order. It would make them a brand new fun experience but also make it fun for those who got lost in the story in the original release order.
Bringing classic mgs to modern audiences is gunno blow some minds. I wonder if the nightmare sequence will make the cut?

If you notice the slam take downs, they are altered versions of the ones you see in mgsV. The first takedown I thought was gonna be a hip throw, but its a lesser slammed version. The 2nd takedown is big boss's iconic 1 arm pick up slam. But its altered a bit in this one too. Maybe John perfected the slam later on and this is the early version of it

If they add first person view I will buy it I know it not in the original game but I think more variety in the gameplay view will be welcome so you can choose from both worlds first person experience and the third person experience and the original experience

One of things I'm most worried about is the fact that they said most of the lines are from the original recordings. But in the Master Collection, you can tell the new recordings sound _jarringly_ different from the original. Paul Eiding at 67yrs doesn't sound anything like when he was I dunno, 40.

This game is looking pretty good so far, and the team for this remake has been saying all the right things. Lets hope they are true to their word.
I wonder if Konami went the Resident Evil 4 route where they matched all the lip synching to the English dub by hand, or had used the lip-synching speech recognition technology that Metal Gear Solid 4 pioneered.

I'm looking forward to the new style of gameplay for more modern day games, mainly because I didn't grow up play the mgs games and I couldn't get into them do to the controls even though I love the story of mgs3

One of the things that I don't see many people commenting on is that during that time Kojima had a high executive position at konami so he filed the main code for the game, assets, audio files and everything else for future reference and ports...a thing that most studios specially in japan weren't used to do....that's why bluepoint ports were phenomenal of course they have their own merit but porting and remastering demands a good source to be faithful. On the other hand silent 2 and 3 remasters are trash cause Konami lost the final code for the game and the studio responsible for the remaster had to create different assents than the original and work with the alpha code not even the beta one...from the original games.
