I keep an axe, a shovel, a 4 foot pry bar, tons of tools, tarps, blankets, big rope, duck tape, bolt cutters, tire repair stuff, tow straps, saw, fire hydrant wrench, spare set of clothes and a couple pairs of work gloves because someone always forgets theirs, get home bag, IFAK with 4 tourniquets and blood loss prevention stuff, ammo / mags, etc....
You can come pretty close to what you have there with a Cold Steel Trail Boss boys size axe. I carry one along with a Silky Big Boy(extra large teeth) Estwing I beam pry bar(lightweight) and an East German surplus military shovel(med length handle). Good subject matter , keep up the good work!
Looks like a Stihl brand axe. Edit: I have one here in Alaska. Decent steel, but the factory handle on mine sux. Even with standard use the handle has loosened up.
Hmm, boys' axe, or forest axe? Anyway, several years ago I acquired one at a yard sale. It's my G.P. axe. I love it and have no idea what make it is. It looks to be about that size. I like what you did with that handle, nice profile.
LOL Dude. I have that same axe in my Truck. Sometimes when I get a Flat the wheel gets stuck on the Truck. I have to have that Axe to pound the back of the wheel to break it loose. See the comment from Issac, I got most of that stuff in my Truck to. Heck I carry a full set of tools.
A good working axe should be 3lbs or less but has a longer handle than a hatchet. Commonly called a "boys axe" they are light enough to pack but large enough to do hard work with two hands

Not even gonna pretend that I know what it might’ve been in a previous life, but it looks like you got it in good shape right now

It is indeed a Stihl forestry axe!

It's a fireman's axe, minus the spike of the rear side

Well, the head started as iron ore in the ground.
The handle started as a seed.
😂
I've had more axes than I can remember but the short boys axe is the best for chopping or splitting
No idea... I'm not an axe guy.
Stihl axe?
I'm guessing a Bahco or Stihl
Used to be a stihl
Helko Werk Reinland Pack Axe.
Nice axe!
I collect axes and yes I carry one in my truck.
Too far for vehicle edc. Heck naw. I like the idea of an, oh crap kit.
Forrest axe
