- I can’t tell you how many nights I used to lie awake on my bed, bending all my thought toward discovering my reason for being. I was haunted by a lack of purpose. The day all that changed was the day I met the Purpose-giver.
God chose your purpose before you were even born. If you’ve ever wondered if you’re here for a reason or not, the answer is yes. God has a beautiful purpose for your life. However, even though you get to enjoy your purpose through what you do, you cannot find your purpose in what you do. You must find your purpose in who you know.

A few years ago while on a business trip, I had dinner with my daughter and her friend from work. At the end of a pleasant dinner and conversation, the friend, Rachel, said to me, "I can see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". She said that to indicate that she could see father and daughter as having substantially the same mind. I think our over arching purpose here on earth is to allow God to transform our minds into the mind of Christ. I might be wrong but I see purpose as not something we do as in a career or hobby or sport but rather someone we become.

With all due respect if your saying comments like this thier is no love in your heart and why are you on a vhirsyaun channel if your not here to learn? I dont know anyone who remembers past life's so you cant learn from past lives if you dont have memory of them. People who say they remember is through doing witchcraft through things like shamanism so how do you know what you see is false or true? Like being high people imagine things. God is eternal so he has always been here in the spirit so time frame of when jesus came as a person doesnt matter. All of the world has lied, cheated, stolen, cursed the name of god for someone who doesnt exist, many have gotten drunk is that a good person? Does a building create itself? Rick Abbott - No one with half a brain cell denies existence of a designer and creator. You are correct. No building creates itself, but we don't say a God created it, do we? The same with all creation. Attaching a God to it, is the problem. No designer nor any engineer wants to be called a God, nor demand worship. No father wants to be regarded as a God nor be worshipped by his children. The eternal father is no God. He does not want worship. The bible is full of holes. Its persuasion is by fear, and tugging at the heart-strings. The blind misapplication of love. On the other hand, what are the historical facts of the bible? The facts are preferable. Love can then be applied anytime. We naturally possess that.
As I seek you Lord. Everyday it becomes so much more clearer of what I am destined to do. May I always give you the Glory. In Jesus name Amen

One night about five years ago right before bedtime I was sitting on the edge of my bed praying, and as I was finishing up praying I asked the Lord to please send the end-time outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As soon as I said it he spoke to me in my spirit and said "Many of my people are praying and asking me to send renewal. But when the outpouring of the Holy Spirit comes they aren't going to like it." He didn't say anything else, but he later gave it to me to understand that there are several reasons why they aren't going to like it, the first one being that it will be so unfathomably powerful that it will be so unlike the sweetsie-sweet and nicie-nice watered down and powerless parody of Christianity they've been being acclimated to for their whole lives long that they'll be afraid of it and many of them will reject it. Also because one of the major ingredients in the outpouring will be the baptism of fire which the Lord will use to dislodge people from their beloved idols, deceptions, and mediocre do-gooder agendas, and to clean them up morally, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, which will be quite painful to many people. Also because the outpouring will expose where everyone is at spiritually, and most Christians want none of that.
The end-time outpouring of the Holy Spirit will no doubt be many times more powerful than any previous outpouring (or maybe as powerful as all of the previous outpourings put together). I think the end-time outpouring of the Holy Spirit is going to be the second most important event in human history, second to the Lord's sacrifice on the cross for the sins of mankind, followed by his burial, resurrection, and ascension into heaven. I think the end-time outpouring (aka the "Latter Rain Outpouring of the Holy Spirit") will dwarf the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost 2,000 years ago (aka the "Former Rain Outpouring of the Holy Spirit"), because that outpouring was the birth of the Lord's church, whereas the end-time outpouring will prepare the Lord's church for her marriage to him.
Plus it will usher souls to salvation in numbers unlike anything anyone ever imagined (per Hosea 6:3, Joel 2:23, Matthew 24:14, James 5:7, and Revelation 14:14-16, all in the King James Version). Plus it will strengthen those who stay with it to be able to endure the end-time persecution which the kingdom of darkness will roll out in retaliation against the outpouring, as is foretold in numerous verses of scripture (e.g. Daniel 11:33-35, Daniel 12:1-7, Matthew 24:9, Matthew 24:21-22, Revelation 6:9-11, and Revelation 13:7).
However, the persecution will be so severe that many who were blessed by the end-time outpouring and who were strengthened by it won't be able to endure the persecution and will fall away (as the Holy Spirit speaking through the Apostle Paul foretold in 2 Thessalonians 2:3), so that those who endure to the end will be those who loved not their lives unto death (per Revelation 12:11).
If you look around in the comments to the myriad of mundane religious videos on UA-cam you'll see lots and lots of comments saying "I'm ready to go home." Not only do they not realize how incredibly selfish that attitude is, if most of them had any idea how un-ready they are to 'go home' they'd be appalled at themselves. When the end-time outpouring finally comes we're all going to find out just how un-ready we really are. The good news is that the Lord will use the outpouring to make us ready to go home (per Ephesians 5:27), painful as the process may be. This is the way I think it's all going to play out anyway.

One of the best books I ever read was The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren from Saddleback Church. I was a train wreck in 2004 leaving my drug addicted ex, drinking alcohol to cope and having moved 100 miles from home. It saved my life!!!!

Only God knows how much I needed to hear this message right now!!! Jesus is working in my life right now, specifically with my calling. I've been getting breakthroughs but I also become confused because I guess I expected Him to fully reveal it to me but it seems to be in small tiny pieces at a time. Sometimes I think I have it & sometimes not so sure. Maybe I eager to serve but you are absolutely right He wants us to be eager to spend time with Him alone. And it is so amazing to have quality time with him.

Amen totally in agreement with you pastor , l believe God will use us as believers to do his purpose , as followers in Jesus , l believe God gives us all different gifts , weather a person , is a pastor , evangelis, a believer who loves God , to be a witness, a willing heart, to touch. One body Jesus, with different functions, praise the Lord that we heard His call to serve Him
Our purpose in life is simple: we serve God by helping make this world into a paradise for others. We all do this in different ways, but in general, we make this world into a paradise by loving others. This can take many forms, such as in relationships/friendships, etc. Some people do it by bringing beauty into the world through music and the other arts; making things for others to love.
Can I ask you. Do you think its wrong though to make money through your music ? Like would that be serving God or money?
@@hotpinkluvr1 Money complicates matters since in the perfect paradise, God would provide everything one needs (food, shelter, clothing, etc.), and thus, there would be no need for money. In any case, intent matters the most to God; He judges people based on the intent within their heart; He judges individuals based on the motivation behind their actions.
When creating music and other arts, one must put the kingdom of God first, desiring to glorify God through these arts. One's intent must be to glorify God through art rather than to make money.
Throughout history, many artists and musicians were employed by the church to create art and music for the church. Notably, there was J.S. Bach, who was employed by the church to compose religious music. Bach made his living by composing such music. Making money in this manner is not an issue as long as glorifying and serving God comes first.
Also, consider doing the busker model: give away your music for free, but give an option for your audience to donate money to you on a "pay what you want" basis.

I had a very similar experience with an art professor in college! I thought I was going to fail also. But then at the end of the term, I read her comments on my grade which was an A, she had written about how much I grew and applied different techniques and gave my work it’s own voice. That was a pretty cool experience that I have carried with me.

I’ve been kind of nervous in asking my Heavenly Father for my purpose cuz I’m hesitant that I’m still not ready yet or that I’ll let him down. I’m still very early in studying scripture. Should I be baptized first or does that not matter? I’ll be baptized in early Autumn up in Georgia.

I think the main problem with me is that I have this tendency to make excuses and goof off and not only that but I have this disorder called Schizoaffective and for much of my time terrible blasphemies and cursing just pop into my head for no reason and it's not how I truly feel about God. I actually do want to know Him more and it's just that I feel so much intimidation and even sometimes spiritual laziness that gets in the way of that. And the worst part is because of all those things I've mentioned, I get this depressing feeling that God wants nothing to do with me anymore. Because I'm not trying hard enough to seek Him and something is blocking me from getting to know Him better. I even had this dream where Jesus was standing in front of me and said "You will not fly". I think that means I won't be saved. Not only that but just yesterday while I was sitting on my couch, I asked the Holy Spirit if He hates me and something not only in my mind but in my heart said "yes". Was that truly Him?!
It was not truly the holy spirit. God is love so it's literally impossible for him to hate. And he loves you and everything that you are. He has redeemed you and called u by name
