It's still the 1st somewhere! That power chisel was very impressive Kev, saw it on the Wood Knight this week too, great looking tool. The turboplane came out in 2012 ;)
Awesome vid Kev. The Turbo plane was launched in 2012.

Turbo plane was launched in 2012. Have had my eye of one of these for a while now!! Very close to pulling the trigger on a purchase of several accessories so hopefully can start my journey from here!
Great job Kev, that looked awesome! I subscribed a long time ago, i've liked your vid and the answer seems to be 2012 from your link. But if i'm a smartypants the description doesn't say to answer the question, it just says comment below ‘what year did we launch the TURBOPlane?’ hahah but you did say it in the video. Cheers Kev!
Ha ha ha! There is always one...
I bought the mini carver with the mini pro blade last year. It is a fantastic and versatile tool. However, as my projects have got bigger i greatly regret not purchasing the power carver and turbo plane which was released in 2012.
Thanks for the feedback Barry. You will not regret purchasing both the Power Carver and TURBOPlane - a match made in powercarving heaven!
Dear Kevin, as I always as I say you are an inspiration.
I loved the entire Viking inspired tray / bowl, may be as I love making model Ships 😊 but most important learning for me here was the planning of the bottom of the tray with use of the jig you designed. Thank you for the share.
I believe I saw your very first video in May 2012 where you introduced the Turbo plan so i think it was launched in 2012 if i am not wrong.
Thank you again for sharing with us your knowledge and will be eagerly waiting to watch and experience more you.👍
Warm regards, Amit

Thanks for following! Keep an eye out for more giveaways in the coming months.
A wire or nylon cup brush for the angle grinder is often quite good for removing bark, and debris but keeping the wood intact if you are just wanting to do a clear out before carving. The Turboplane was released in 2012 and has been keeping woodcarvers happy ever since!
Thanks Ruth, I might give that a try next time.
