That turned out lovely graham. I think I would have probably left the inner plastic on as well. It reminded me of the time I bought a new fridge freezer years ago. I thought the front was all scratched so I sent it back and got another one only for the new one to be the same. Then we realised it had a plastic film on it to protect it. We felt like right idiots. I liked the song when you were washing your hands. Enjoyed the story about the pyjamas, I would do something like that
Hi Sandra, you are binge watching 👍👌 it seems a while since I made that video, that’s a good story about the fridge thank you for sharing that now I’m laughing 😂😂😂😂😂. The way Wendy cooks that gammon is really nice. It turns a cheap piece of meat into two days of lovely meals 🥰😘👍
We always do our gammon in slow cooker, I feel it gives best results. I also like it over cooked when it’s literally flaking 👌🏼 not to everyone’s liking but that’s how I do 😊
I was just thinking how nice it was when Freddie first went without stabilisers and Jamie had to run after him and by the time we all went camping he was great fun and I rode with all the kids. What a memory. 🥰😘😘👏👏👏
Thanks Graham! I'm doing this for Christmas Dinner and wasn't sure what to do but this has helped no end! We now have a very happy 3 year old who can't wait for her "posh ham" 😂❤
Hi India, that’s such a nice message. Your posh ham will be lovely, merry Christmas from Graham and Wendy 😋🥰❤️😘👍 I hope Santa looks after a happy little three year old. 🎅🎁🎄
The inner sleeve is supposed to be left on to stop the joint from losing it's shape while cooking it's perfectly safe to leave on whatever way you are cooking the gammon, slow cooker, air fryer, oven, boil it's all fine that sleeve does not melt, in the old days they would be tied with string. I think they have changed the curing process on these gammon joints too in recent years, I remember as a kid they would be really salty unless you soaked them overnight now they are fine right out of the package.
Hi Matthew, I wondered but you hear so much about harmful plastics in food, we still find them salty mate but we don’t have much salt. Thank you for the comments 👍
Hi Graham I over cook it terrible and I wouldn't mind. The taste was lovely. My kids and my partner left it. I ate it because of the sweet taste I have a new slow cooker and I think when it's on high it doesn't takes as long as the old ones does so I need to do an hour less. I've done this twice now with two meals haha 😂 I'm cooking them too long but I will definitely do it again 😄
Hi Paul it wasn’t really my birthday, boris told us all to sing happy birthday when we washed our hands in those dark days not long ago. I think the sugar and salt neutralise each other. I intended filming me carving it but we were rushing when we got home and I forgot 🤷♂️
@@grahamgetsabout2672I wouldn't utter that man's name again after the Covid-19 inquiry revelations. He should be locked up for his actions or inactions!
Thanks Steve. We were out with some family yesterday and I forgot to show it finished. It was nice and so cheap. A bit like me really, it’s nice to know you and Lorna are ok 👍
The B word on your side of the pond and the T word on our side of the pond are both gone. The T word is in the slow cooker right now and headed for the air fryer. 😁
That joint is a bit small for 8 hours. I would cook a 1.5 kg joint for 8 hours low, 4/6 hours high. Everything comes down to personal preference. But I would recommend lowering your cooking time.
Excellent I will try this way after the New Year, thanks Graham.
You will never do it any other way afterwards, happy Christmas 🎅

Hi CC we think it’s the best way, listen to your mum and dad. 👏👏👏👏👏👏😍🥰❤️😘

Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the ham.
Hi Anthony, It’s a really nice method of cooking a gammon joint.
Happy Christmas eve, Graham thanks for the Gammon video ours in on now, I added honey instead of sugar and stabbed with cloves. All the best.
Hi Merry Christmas, honey will do the same job. I’m sure it will be lovely. ❤️👍

Hi, that’s fine sometimes we only six hours. That’s the beauty of a slow cooker merry Christmas 🎄
Oooh I think a tad more sugar would help 😂
It’s scary to look at but try it 👍
Graham, are you sure you haven't been spying on me? I made this a couple of weeks ago. And I left the plastic around the edge on it 😫😫😫😫
Well done Philip you joined the elite class 😂😂😂😂😂 🤓

Chill out Linda, happy new year.
Too much sugar for me.
Hi Joan, I understand that but it takes the salt out of the gammon. 👍
