Hey everyone! Welcome back to Hourless Life, where we are driving around the world in our trusty Jeep Gladiator, Dauntless. Our goal? To overland across all six habitable continents over the next 10 years, sharing every moment with you.
In this episode, we’re switching things up a bit. We leave Dauntless in beautiful Mendoza, Argentina, and hop on a flight to Santiago, Chile. We spend three days exploring the vibrant capital, soaking in the sights, sounds, and flavors that make Santiago special.
But that’s not all. After our Chilean adventure, we catch a flight to Denver, Colorado, where our Jeep Wrangler, Guardian, is waiting for us. We reunite with family, enjoy quality time together, and gear up for Overland Expo West 2024! We'll be presenters at the event, and we can't wait to share our journey and insights with fellow overlanding enthusiasts.

We’re Eric + Brittany + Caspian Highland, and we’re driving around the world! We have been traveling full-time by vehicle for the past decade. In October 2021, we permanently left the United States with our Jeep Gladiator home on wheels. We intend to slow travel across all six habitable continents.

Eric are you going to mount the starlink dish on the top of y’all’s Alu-Cab on Dauntless or just put it on it’s stand and stand it on the hood or the ground in front of Dauntless? Hey Christopher. So we have the Gen 3 dish. Assuming we can get it back to Argentina with us without issues, we don't plan immediately on mounting it, but having it where we can deploy it to wherever we like at camp. Glad you are enjoying the journey with us! ~ Eric

@@HourlessLife no worries we will meet at some point. I know how hectic it is. When I was in Arizona a lot of friends were like we have to meet up and sometimes that's just not possible. Safe travels and looking forward to following you guys on your adventures

Hey I have a question, does TX not require annual inspections etc for your tags on the Gladiator? Just wondered about that, I assume you still have to 'renew' the tags. NC we have inspections so not sure how to handle that if we are gone for extended period.
My company has a lot of out of state fleet vehicles. Some states have a clause that if you can prove the vehicle is operating out of state you can skip the inspection.
We haven't renewed anything (registration, etc) on DAUNTLESS as those regulations only apply in the USA. Having said that, if we ever ship DAUNTLESS back to the states there will likely be a fine (which I believe has a cap of like $100 in the State of Texas) for being late in getting our registration done. Ours may be 10+ years late 🤣 ~ Eric

Santiago air pollution seemed extreme?
Definitely a mix between the pollution and the cloud coverage from the Andes. They kind of swoop in on the city. ~ Eric
