- I came across this video a while back and I knew I wanted to use it as part of other video ideas I had. However, it sat there and I couldn’t put it into perspective so I decided to post it as it is.
This video is believed to have been produced in the 1950s. It shows different aspects of Grenada including the production of sugar cane, which was popular back then. The video also shows what we know as Carriacou and Islands leading up to it. These Islands were called the grenadines back then. Enjoy🇬🇩 - Розваги
Grenada's sceneries looks always amazing.
I love to see historical footage of Grenada...I've been there several times to visit my family & in-laws and we can't wait to go back.
Thanks for sharing this
Has an oddly nostalgic feel even though I wasn't born yet.
I love Grenada 🇬🇩 My dad is from here. This is one of my favorite islands. I need to get back soon. 💕
Thank you for this never aged Video.....Mr.Neckles's son (Bro) is still the Chairman of Clarks Court Distillery in Woodlands.
Thanks so much for sharing ...born in the 60"S UK and grew up in Grenada i did have the opportunity of meeting Mr. Johnny Branch of Duglaston Estate in St.Johns ...this brought back so many memories..
Thanks for posting this vintage footage.
Congratulations on 1k 💕😘
This is a classic and should be save . It's important for us to have these recordings for generations.
Thanks for posting.
🇬🇩💯Beautiful Grenada
A bit of info.for us Grenadian seniors about the white building up on the hill ,Santa Maria [I think].It was renamed "The Islander ".I was a fete goer and played music with a "Combo" called The Maniacs there.[Had to put a plug in ] LoL
Aw my grandparents would have still been there then❤️ they moved to UK along with my uncles in the 60s and had 3 more boys. One uncle moved back and still have other great uncles and aunties and cousins living there. It’s been 20 years since I visited beautiful Grenada😔, but we keep in touch with the internet🇬🇩🇬🇩
Aweee you should definitely visit. What you see on camera doesn't do justice to what's really there in person🇬🇩
@@empressrosie7065 I’m hoping to visit soon. And hopefully make a more regular habit than 20 years. I was a teenager last time. X
Interesting- that’s my uncle Nick Nickles- great to see the archive - please show more of these if you have more- I love it- If brings back great memories. Thanks for showing
Unfortunately i don’t have anymore. If get more, I’ll post it. I’m happy you can relate to this time. I’m still trying to figure out certain places in the video😅
@@empressrosie7065 Thank you. Great work.
That’s so lovely is the hotel where they stayed still there. That lovely lady must have passed away who worked at hotel. My lovely mum would have been around 15-16 years old from Caracou
I was not even born yet.
Is Mi Nichols still alive
Actually you also eat the white flesh with a spoon made of the fibrous shell
