Really cool! I built a Hamtronics 28-144 transverter back in 1993 for 2m ssb use and had a RCI 2950 (cb) to power it. I worked surprisingly well. The extended range of the exciter helped me to utilize the entire 2 meter band and I was too cheap to pays hundreds for a 2 meter all mode radio. The receiver and transmitter kits were about $35 each back then and were very stable. I'm curious about the black box under the Agilent spectrum analyzer. Do you have a video on it? And what does it do? Thanks.

I briefly had a Hamtronics 28-144 as well, but mostly used a Microwave Modules "black box" transverter in those days. When I got back on VHF in 2016 I managed to get my paws on the later Microwave Modules 144/28R that I always wanted back in the day but couldn't afford.
Sadly I don't have a video of the black box. It is a collection of homebrew stuff (mostly the control portions) of my now defunct 2200 meter station. I was very active there after we got the band until I had an antenna disaster. Behind the panel and elsewhere in the rack is the rest of the setup, including a 1 kW amplifier. I could do a video on that stuff now, but would not be able show any of it in operation.
