- Welcome to The Knit Chat, a podcast where I talk about knitting, spinning and crafting in general.
Let's answer some questions! If you have a channel or just want to answer in the comments, here are the questions:
1- Which yarn weight is your go-to?
2- Which yarn weight is nonexistent in your stash?
3- Multi or mono project?
4- Do you knit the same pattern more than once?
5- Which pattern has been on your to-do list the longest? (Spot Sweater by Anne Ventzel)
6- Morning or evening knitter?
7- Printed or electronic pattern?
8- Your favorite stitch to knit?
9- Your favorite stitch for the finished look?
10- Toe up or cuff down?
11- Metal or wood needles?
12- Which designer needs to get more hype? (Mine is Camille Descôteaux!)
13- Which pattern is so gorgeous but you’ll never knit it? (Multiple Marie Wallin)
14- Which super popular pattern is just not for you? (Zweig by Caitlin Hunter)
15- One (or more) knitting podcasts to follow! (@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS, @tinyhumanknitspodcast3566 , @EngineeringKnits )

1. Fingering
2. Lace weight
3. Multi for sure
4. I have knit Boxy 5 times. I often knit 2 if I love the sweater.
5. Alice Starmore’s vest
I am trying to improve my F I skills first
6. I knit all day from when I get up to when I go to bed except for the necessities in life😂
7. Printed. Buy an Epson printer for less than $300 Cdn and print from your phone plus ink is cheap and lasts forever. I have 3 huge binders where I keep my patterns with my notes all in plastic sheet covers
8. Stocking stitch
9. Also brioche but too hot to wear (for me)
10. Cuff down
11. Both. When I knit F I. I am still at the stage where I can’t race along. For fastest needles love Skakel circulars most
12. Don’t know
13. Alice Starmore’s Tudor roses
14. I knit Zweig mono and liked it.
15. I have never found one I cld listen to. They were too chatty and not relevant to me. Will try your recommendations.
Thank you so much for your answers. I never heard of Skakel. I'll have to look that up. And yes Alice Starmore's patterns are beautiful challenges!
I think kumiko Alexander is one of my favourite designers.
Clo, I thoroughly enjoyed this Q&A and am so with you on Camille Descoteaux. I made her Alaska Sweater pattern loved every minute of making it. You’re lovely to listen to.
Thank you Pat, I'm glad you liked Camille's pattern. It's a beautiful one for sure!!!
I’ve made 2 one color with lace Zweig sweaters and then used the pattern as a guideline to make 2 no lace versions - the fit worked out really well for me. I still haven’t made a Zweig with the contrast color section, I might at some point (but it’s more likely I won’t 😊).
I love finding a sweater fit that is really good and tweaking it to my liking as well!
Skacel makes addi turbo circulars. I do not recommend addi clicks because the transition from needle to cable is rough.
I see, I do know Addi.
Can u please spell the two designers you mentioned on the knit chat whose patterns you knit
One is Camille Descôteaux, i'm not sure which other one you are referring to but the names of the people I talk about are next the questions in the description box.
The other sounded line Mary woolen
@@linelladevlin7701 It's Marie Wallin
Don't tell anyone, popular pattern I hate is ranunculus!!! I just don't get it🫣
😱😱😱 That's it! You win the comment section! 😂
@@cloknits ha ha ha I know!!! I'll break the internet at this rate😂😂😂 (go on..... How many have you made?!!)
I've only made one but I would absolutely make another! (which we know will probably never happen)
