I'd love to see the receipt for that sale (obviously it's a private sale and you'd need to respect the client's privacy), but I'm guessing $1.4M - $1.6M and I'm assuming a discount was given. So choice.
sven schukat pretty accurate for wristwatches, they arnt even close to observatory chronometer pocketwatches from the early 1900s though. Mostly because they have no way to deal with temperature variations, they also use high beat small balance movements like all wristwatches these days due for the need of recovery from shocks. Modern swiss lever escapements are quite compromised for this reason too
I met Mr Forsey once in an Amsterdam watch event. He handed me one of these pieces (can’t remember which one) price was €750k. I handed it back real fast (or slow😂)
The naming of the watches is disturbing. The "double Tourbillon" is actually 2 axis Tourbillon when some other manufacturers can do 3 axis. The "Quadruple Tourbillon" is actually a Double 2 axis Tourbillon. It is still insane craftmanship.

I respect this brand a lot for their mechanical movements but the cases are just a joke with all those "bubbles" coming out of the main case. It just looks unbalanced and stupid
