I'm hoping they decide to use the tablet Handlink or something similar in the second season of the new QL. Upon seeing close-ups, it looks fantastic, and definitely a more logical step in design evolution.
Thank you for this video. For some reason 2022 QL hasn't made it to any official UK streamers or channels, it was interesting to see the new handlinks. I can't wait to get a Calculator Handlink from you on the RPF, it will go well with the Gummy version I bought a few years ago.
Wow, the concept handlinks for the new series are so much better than what they went with. Some weird production choices going on there. 😆

It's amazing what they were able to do in 8 days' time.
My assumption was always that the handlink Zoey used had a more sleek, feminine design style, so a new handlink was needed

I much prefer the tablet-style handlink for the new show. Some of the concepts are fantastic!
My biggest gripe with the glowing disc link is they are completely inconsistent with the hologram image effect. In most scenes, Addison is clearly looking at something just above the prop, but there’s nothing there. I’m sure it was done to save money on sfx, but it’s very distracting…
If I were them, I would have done a teaser video of the new handlink and maybe even shown the different prototypes to gauge reaction. The various concepts show the provenance back to the gummy bear.

I love the unique pyramid handlink that was used by Thames. I think the sound effects from his were more like distorted versions of the handlink Al uses. Also, the teleportation sound for Thames was a Star Wars stormtrooper blaster.
I think that puck handlink is crap. The original Pilot handlink is such a better design all around.
Although, considering that in the original series, they passed up a really amazing handlink prop for a simpler design, it doesn't really surprise me that they went with the lame choice in the revival as well

I have a theory that the Devil, from the Boogeyman episode, helped create the Evil Leaper project and the AI computer, Lothos, controlling the Leaper.
It was from Star Light, Star Bright when Sam was under sodium pentothal Sam revealed all the classified documents and project codes to those agents, an episode later an the Evil Leapers show up, they took the information from Sam to create the project somewhere in an unknown future.
@@vortechsci-figadgets4603 it is a combination of things. There is the devil, there is the string theory being talked about on Capt Galaxy, and some of the secret information that was talked about in the Bigfoot episode that was enough to create the Evil Leaper Project.
