He didn't display how the plastic wrap will try it's hardest to touches itself anywhere and stick to itself with the adhesive power of Spiderwebs made of Gorilla Glue, to the point where you have to throw the whole thing out and start over
i don't know why anyone even bothers, those stupid serrated box edges don't even work. they rip only part of tin/aluminum foil before it starts tearing diagonally, and they just flat-out never work for wax paper or saran wrap. I just go get a pair of good ol' fashioned scissors and cut myself a good clean edge. Or better yet, just don't even bother and use a tupperware container. saran wrap sucks.
I luv these cutaways that shows something is funny in how relatable it is and how these sorts of things annoy/irritate/frustrate us! Yes, it was kinda long but that was part of what made it genuine, because it's true how much of a pain in the ass plastic wrap can be!
SO accurate and glad I am not alone in this. I don't know know how anyone makes or buys this stuff anymore. It sticks to itself and is impossible to use!
@Flux Huzzah! A man of quality! What brand do you use? I mostly use that brown school cafeteria sandpaper napkin to suit my drywall needs, but to each their own
As someone who had to do this for a lot of sweets and fruits for an upcoming birthday, this is way to accurate and I'm having flash backs now please send help
My previous job actually banned from using the plastic wrap because I would always end up with janky diagonal cuts, which would cause the lip to be lost. What made it worse is that it was on a table with a sliding cutter.
Saran Wrap used to be a lot better but had to remove PVDC, which helped make the plastic more adhesive, in 2004-2005, because that chemical releases particularly toxic fumes when incinerated.
I saw an interview with FG’s writers saying that they all keep notepads with them everywhere they go so they can jot down anything that annoys/amuses them to use for cutaways later.

The fucking worst part about plastic wrap is when everything is going okay, you're actually able to wrap things, the wrap is actually doing it's job and then bam..the side gets caught. Then you have to take it out and unwrap the whole fucking thing...or get a knife and cut to the edge of it to get it back to it's normal state. I fucking hate plastic wrap
They play with your expectations that something more may happen, but nope, it's just a surprisingly well-animated but super realistic scene of Peter unraveling saran wrap.
I think the cutaways where peter is just genuinely trying to do something are the best ones
This is more painful to watch than the time he ate half a fudgesickle in one bite
This is actually what makes Family Guy bad: its a filler
@@owen1994 if you say so

What fucking handicap can't unfurl the plastic wrap and wrap their plate within a minute and a half of time?
They're funny for like half a minute then it drags on for way too long like when tried throwing a frog out a window.
He didn't display how the plastic wrap will try it's hardest to touches itself anywhere and stick to itself with the adhesive power of Spiderwebs made of Gorilla Glue, to the point where you have to throw the whole thing out and start over

Facts 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's correct
😂😂😂😂 I tried putting my food under plastic wrap
💯💯💯🤣🤣
This has to be the most relatable cutaway gag Family Guy has ever done. Plastic wrap is completely useless.
And an absolute pain in the ass.
The person responsible for inventing such an intolerable item should’ve legally executed.
What about where he tries opening some blinds
That’s the store bought one, the ones chefs use in the kitchen is never an issue
I just stuff a entire bowl of spaghetti into a plastic bag and yes that includes the bowl because fuck dishes
The only thing missing was scratching your thumb over the metal teeth that cut the plastic wrap while you're trying to find the edge.

The suffering continues.😔
Saran wrap poisons the past, present and future.
Whoever invented Saran Wrap ought to be incarcerated for the rest of their lives.
I just love Peter's facial expressions throughout the cutaway
You just know McFarlane had to have had a moment exactly like this at some point.
The most accurate representation of real life that I have ever seen on Family Guy
He's animated so cleanly, is then even family guy?? 😂

If you notice, the less objects on screen that need animating the more detailed the animations. Look at a scene of a ton of people vs one

Haven't watched family guy in a looong time, but the animation and attention to detail in this scene is PERFECT
I don't feel that it captured the issue of the plastic sticking to itself and getting folded into itself. That part you just had to imagine.
most relatable moment in cartoon history.

Family Guy animation has gotten so far. I love the 3D effects animation they use on this show.
How’s that? How do they have 3D effects animation? I don’t get it.
Working at a job where I had to use this stuff all the time was a nightmare. 😩

Or the plastic boxes
I felt this in my soul.
Saran wrap is not easy to use. I had my fair share of struggles.
My previous job actually banned from using the plastic wrap because I would always end up with janky diagonal cuts, which would cause the lip to be lost. What made it worse is that it was on a table with a sliding cutter.
The writers put "Peter opens saran wrap" in the script and this is what the animators sent back.
those Manatees worked really hard putting those idea balls together
This is relatable on so, so many levels that it describes plastic wrap in perfection.
It's a pain to use.
The sound of the plastic wrap
As a professional saran wrap wrapper, peters performance disappoints me.
I actually enjoyed this cutaway, very rare for family guy these days
This whole recent season has been pretty good.
@@nickleback3695 yea, they have a lot more “edgy” humor, or shot that is more controversial

The idea of Peter saving that amount of food is impossible to believe.
Saran Wrap used to be a lot better but had to remove PVDC, which helped make the plastic more adhesive, in 2004-2005, because that chemical releases particularly toxic fumes when incinerated.
The quality of animation is attributed to the animators own personal suffering in doing this and is merely recreate the hell they live in

The scene takes less than two minutes, but it feels like ten.
I watched this scene while intoxicated and I could not stop laughing!!!😂
The side skits like this are the best parts of the show, simply because its relatable and real-world as fuck 😂😂
Why do I relate to this so much

One of the most accurate and hysterical cutaways🤣
If the average episode is like 20 minutes long, this 1 cut away was 10% of the whole show..
Seth gets his show ideas from what pissed him off the previous week
The cutaway where Peter has to do everyday takes are always so relatable.
I feel like this is just Seth voicing his everyday frustrations through Peter.
Nah, I think it was actually Peter...
this and the one where he tries to throw that frog out of the window are SOOOOOO relatable.....
I like these type of long intimating scenes from family. The frog one and the window blinds are funny
every millisecond of this is relatable

I completely agree
i relate to this on an atomic level
This has got to be one if not the most relatable cutaway in the entirety of Family Guy
This reminds me of a scene from the Olsen Gang in which Kjeld tries to unwrap a rapped dish that he stole as he was on a diet. He did not succeed
I feel like the overly long cutaways of Peter struggling to do a simple task is one of the best parts of what I like about modern Family Guy now.
Plastic wrap! It sticks to whatever you don't want it to, and never to what you do want it to! What fun!
I feel Peter's frustration at anger lol
Don't forget the aluminium cutter which always gets you more then the cling wrap.
