Thanks for the very nice walkthru. It's Jan 2023 and I'm going today to look at a used 2019 RT178, so this is exactly what I needed to see. I may add there is 1 power pole on it as well. Thanks again!
The only thing wrong with the 178 is they need to upgrade the horsepower rating to 90 HP. 2 guys, 3 batteries and all their equipment could use a little more help getting the thing up on plane and operating more efficiently. Other than that, I'd buy one!
I don't think so. I have a 2016 RT178 its been a problem from day one . Not a lot of help from Ranger just send pics. The craftsman ship and fit and finish is terrible And there trailers are cheap junk no different than Bass pro boats. Id tell more but it would take me all day to spell it out. Buyer beware,
@@barryseifert6053 Sorry you have been having problems with it but I think you were just really unlucky because my RT178 has had zero issues, I've had for over a year and have used it at least 40 times or more, and not a signal issue! The guy down my street who I fish with has the RT188P has not had any issues either. At least he never told me. As for the trailers and their customer service, I can't comment on the customer service because I have not had to talk to them much but the Ranger trailers are solid! The ones you want to stay away from are the cheaper lighter aluminum ones some companies make. I don't know dude, to me you just ran in some bad luck I guess cuz in my experience I'm not hearing or seeing that.
