The things you don't realize how it works until you see it on UA-cam. Thanks for sharing Elliott.

Having a means of water at home is vital. My only experience with my well during the last 33 years other than positive was due to failure of the check valve on the discharge of my pump. A crew from the company that originally drilled the well came out, pulled the pump out by hand, replaced the faulty check valve & inspected the pump. They said that they would normally recommend replacing the pump at the age mine was at the time, but after they wiped it down, they noted that I had a reliable brand. We decided to keep the old pump in service and still at it 8-9 years later. Interesting stuff those well drillers/service guys do.

It's certainly out of my area of expertise, was very interesting to watch them to work! I learned a thing or two that's for sure!

Glad to see it is fixed. I have actually been worrying about your well and i have never met you! We went through this in the late 1970s when i was a teen. I remember my Dad worrying himself over it.

I didn’t realize how expensive the pumps were until those guys told me they are a couple grand

Yeah, I lucked out on price honestly. The old pump was the original when they drilled the well in 95

In Albany County, NY banks won’t approve a loan unless well has a minimum of 5gpm recovery. I’m in the same predicament as you. We have a low recovery well and we fill a 250 storage tank with float valve in our basement. We’ve hydro fractured and gone from less than a 1/4gpm to 1.75gpm. We’re 580’ down through shale and bedrock.

That’s pretty wild. Only thing the county was concerned about with my well I’d that the water was clean. They came out and tested it to make sure it was riddled with bacteria. No concerns about recovery rate.

I never saw anything like this and was quite impressed. I have seen the WWD trucks in our area and always wondered what they can do. I am sure this was only a part of their abilities. Thank you for posting!

I’m told they have a couple crews that only do this full time. Other crews run the well drilling rig, quite the operation!

After 55 my well doesn't work that good and there is not much recovery rate going on. I hope yours turns out better.

I'm not familiar with well terminology...but it's cut into bedrock, I would assume the bottom is bedrock.
