Thank you so much for answering both parts of my question so thoroughly. I guessed 3/4 ads you chose to list. From working in media I can tell you that anything with a recipe is more likely to pull in interest. People LOVE RECIPES. Keep up the totally informative and fun videos. I think a lot of us really look forward to them.
Bette, thanks again for helping to make my channel better. You make a great point about recipes! Come to think of it, wouldn't a Bonus Topic called "What's Cookin''?" with a focus on recipes in advertising be fun? ... ... ... I just added that to my idea board!
I enjoy all of your videos. And, your voice is soothing. I could listen to you all day. You provide great information on the ads and the history. Very interesting.
Glad your sales are on the upswing Greg! I can relate to always accumulating more - I think it is a problem a lot of us have, myself included. Great video....
I’m a reseller. Recently added print ads to my repertoire. Picked up just 4 magazines which are chock full of ads and will keep me busy for a long time 😅
Another great video. I occasionally list both sides. As soon as sell an ad I search for the B side of the print Ad and end that listing. It is more work, but I figure since I already scanned the print Ad, I'm going to list it. Most of the time I'll check if one Ad already has multiple listings, if that's the case, I only list the B side. List it and forget it.
That's really cool to know. So, a separate listing for each side...and it's working for you - that's awesome! I just feel like I'd mess it up, but I know viewers will appreciate reading about your success with it. Thanks!
That's a great idea for a Bonus Topic. Both of my friends, @JiminyFlipIt and @TheVintageCodger have addressed the topic in their vintage print ad selling tutorial series, but after I can give it some serious thought to see if I have anything meaningful to add, I may do it. Thanks for watching!
@susanes1918 Hello Susan! I think the backing board is technically a type of cardboard, but unlike cardboard used for shipping containers, it doesn't have any corrugated layer. They are acid-free, and as a component for art project displays, they are referred to as mat boards. There are links to the ones I use in this video's description where the seller goes into more detail about the specifications. Thanks for watching!
If you have back-to back ads, why not list them as 2 separate listings, each priced the same? Then, if side a sells, take down the listing for side b, and visa versa. 🤷♂ *EDIT* Okay... I should've kept my mouth shut until the end of the video! 😂
@TheSteveBoyd LOL...all you did was ask a question I hear a lot. Now that you've watched to the end and know what I do about the "B-side" hits, check out the comments, and you'll find there are other sellers doing exactly what you suggest! Thanks for watching!

Great video and awesome sales! Love the information on the ad history!
Thanks Doug!

Thanks Jason.
I couldn't help myself. Included in the haul are several titles I don't have yet, and a cursory survey showed a lot of promise in those!

@@lindaf4968 I hope you have fun with it, and good luck with the sales! Thanks for watching!

Enjoying your videos. Can you do a video on where you get your magazines from? I had good luck at a community yard sale last week. Thanks again

Hello Greg, your videos are very informative. Do you mail your prints with a cardboard backing or just in a rigid mailer? Thank you in advance!
