Also by director Michael Curtiz in 1942 was "Yankee Doodle Dandy" with amazing DANCER James Cagney, for which he won Best Actor.
Best film, Best Screenplay,, and Best Director went to "Casablanca".
I haven't seen Yankee Doodle Dandy in years. Such a good film as well.

It's worth a watch! It's a timeless classic.
Worth multiple viewings. "Citizen Kane" is steeped in cynicism; "Casablanca," made when the US was not doing well in the war, is about hope.
Another is 1957's "12 Angry Men".
