- Guilds will be the most important part of Ashes of Creation. All endgame content is made specifically for large groups or guilds. This includes raids, dungeons, naval combat, and castle sieges. I would join a guild if I even knew for sure whether there will be an Oceanic server. Until that’s assured, I don’t know whether I’ll play this game.

Hi Alistair, yeah I’ve thought about playing a heavy damage dealer that’s really versatile in any given circumstance so right now all I could get a grip on was mage.
The teleport is my kind of mobility that I’d look for in addition hit-and-run guerrilla tactics, so right now I’m looking at “mage” as the primary or secondary class which I’ll combine with another one.
If things look good for rogue I might go rogue/mage for high burst and teleport mobility.
Also, I didn’t mean to be rude with the server statement - a lot of MMORPGs don’t have Australian or oceanic servers which is a bummer for me because playing on high latency (200+ ping) is not a fun experience in hardcore fights so I hope everyone gets access to their server wherever they live and has a good time!

The two people doing the interview seem very obnoxious could not imagine anyone joining their guilds and I highly doubt either of them played anywhere near world first caliber.
I don't think that many guilds are trying to be "world-first cliber". Do you think you will be part of a guild when this game comes out?

@@AdamBaird That's understandable. Bullet Hells aren't for everybody. There's a LOT of people that love the music and the music alone. Touhou music slaps. And it slaps hard.

I know it's crazy! I think it was GW2 or Lineage 2... I can't remember. They had a guild that spanned across several servers. It just goes to show that the main developers of the company are gamers! I am hopeful for its outcome!

@@AdamBaird holy shit that's way longer that I thought. What makes you say that? The schedual only has a persistent alpha then 2 beta phases that should be about month each. Then it launches. Surely persistent alpha wont last that long.
