I just bought balisticng and as an AG racer fan im so impressed by the sheer amount of content it has... the way you can mix and match different game modes AND physics together make it so fun to fuck around in (even if the multiplayer is dead) also has some very high quality custom tracks and ships
Yep, probably one of the best if not the best AG racer, certainly in how much content it has. If you wanted to play multiplayer, there are people that play in the Discord and on 4chan so you could look there.

@@osmada Why are the creators of these mods so secretive and hostile? They don't like it if you ask where they are in discord, but even when you look at their mediafire repositories, they're just empty anyway. Why put all this work into mods then make them impossible to find and use? It's extremely weird. I just gave up on trying to find them.
I got everything to work, except the speedpads. The speedpads look like they are significantly upgraded models from the later WipEout games. Where do I get these? Edit: The physics are completely reworked? How do I achieve a similar result? Also absorbtion isn't a part of stock BallisticNG, right?
Everything in this video is done with mods. However, HD-like physics and weapon absorb are in BallisticNG by default, activated by changing the physics mode from 2159 to 2280. It used to be in cheats & secrets but I think you can just select it in custom race now. Improving the modern physics mode is the focus of the next update, even.
@osmada Installed every mod and tweak used in the video. Even created playlists featuring the ost of every game, installed ships, tracks, from Wo1 to 2048, and Omega(no modern tracks, sadly). (Just went to pinned messages in the discord.) Are there any Wipeout pure, pulse, or HD tracks out there? They are the last puzzle piece. Thanks for the help. Is there any news on when the next update is coming?
@@cerious1409 Last I checked the team that makes the mods had only just started on making some Fusion tracks, and these obviously require a lot more work. Best to work on the assumption that tracks from the later games are years out, if they get made at all. As I see it we're lucky to even have tracks from the first few games, the mod authors aren't being paid and do it purely out of passion for the game. I'm not sure when the next update is coming out. Side note: make sure to play BNG's base content to completion before trying to just turn it into wipEout! BNG is in my opinion better than any of those games, and the dev deserves to have you play it with the amount of work that's gone into it.
this game looks very forgiving. WipeOut 2097 was not. hit a rail in WipeOut 2097 and you'd slow to a crawl. here you hit it and brush it off as if almost nothing happened apparently.
This mod doesn't aim to recreate 2097, it aims to recreate 2048 for the PS Vita. Later wipEout games have quite different physics and handling models, and wall hits are a lot less heavily punished. If you want a game that's more similar to the old wipEout titles BallisticNG is that pretty much by default as you can see in my other videos :)
no I meant the game mechanics, if you hit a rail in the original you'd be punished severely, here it doesn't seem to be the case despite hitting the rail@@PixelPenguin77
@@YPS-h4j that would happen if you were playing with the original ps1 physics (if my memory is correct). But with the 2048 physics, collisions happen way more often, specially on this type of track. Hence why they're not as punishing. And that's the trick with this video, OP makes it look like collisions are a rare occurrence when in reality they aren't.

They also believe that BNG is its own game and should be enjoyed as such without going straight to modding wipEout content in, which I agree with.

If you want to play 2048 just play 2048, you should get BNG because it's an awesome game on its own and the dev works really hard on making it.

@osmada It's still at the fusion tracks, nothing new here. While I modded BallisticNG, I purposely preserved the original playability/campaign

This is the Wipeout Fusion and later physics, aka 2280 physics mode. The 2159 mode is the one that is based on Wipeout 2097 and WO3.
OP might make it look easy, but racing on a PS1 era track with modern 2048 physics is not easy, trust me.
