Iceland is amazing for real. Its next on my List. Just been to Norway. But 1 is safe - I would only go by own car (rental) as not to be able to stay where I want when I want as long as I want and being pushed from 1 tourist Hotspot to the other would be totally destroying it for me

if the sun comes up at 11 and goes down at 3 my guess is between November - January . in may -July there is 24 hours of daylight
