    You can use ANY hot tool, curler, iron, etc, on regular synthetic as long as the temp goes to around 220F or below. Hot brush can go around 230 or 240 but that may be too hot for tools with more direct contact. Anyway, you don't need a special tool just make sure the temp goes low. Opens up a lot of styling and maintenance potential.
    Also you are right that it rehabs the fibers. It is how you fix kinks in synthetic.

    I am a newbie to wig wearing so I really appreciate all your videos - thank you! I live in the UK and I have been told that hopefully this tool will be available here sometime in 2023.

    Thank you for this review! I would love to see a demo of straightening flippy ends. I don’t care for those flippies and if this tool works well for straightening those, I would buy one.

    Thanks Denise :-) I really don't know why manufacturers don't offer these wig tools in dual voltage :-( Their markets would double! Since we are 220-240V here, I had to go hunting on AliExpress. Of course, there is no quality control and no promise of longevity, but needs must! Found one - called a beard comb! Lowest temp is 120C which is approx 248F. Have yet to put it through its paces, but on first pass it works OK.

    I bought one just because it was on sale! Ha
    I wear mostly heat friendly synthetics and hoped it would be more effective and easier to use than a steamer. The fact that it was that easy to get some contour on the front would be almost worth the price just for that.
    Thanks again for a great product review.

    This is a beautiful wig and looks lovely on you! However, it looked much prettier and healthier before straightening. The straightened version might feel silkier, but it appears straw-like, frizzy and damaged. Just my opinion of course, but if the ends needed refreshing, I would just smooth with some pomade, wax or styling cream. You would never know from looking at the wig at the beginning of the video that it had been used for so long; it appeared new, and the style was even nicer than one just out of the box.

      I agree that you could see the frizz more after but it was definitely MUCH worse before. I don't know why on video you couldn't see that, maybe because of the curls... I do think it is tricky straightening a wig that came curled because the cut was likely built around the curl.

    I would love to know your experience (when you have it) on maintenance on HD wigs, and however you end up using this tool. The good and bad. I guess we’re always looking for tools to help the longevity of our wigs. Plus, any great styling tools that come your way.

    That would be great to take out flippy ends and box hair. Or would that be overkill? I’d love to see how HD fibers respond. Thanks Denise!

    I so appreciate you and your channel. I'm learning about HD a lot. I'm so intimidated by HD fibers. I've worn wigs for years, never HD. I want to get the new RP Hi Fashion wig, that looks a lot like Mellow. How do you use heat on them, and keep them looking the way they are?

    Thanks for the repertoire of wig toolbox info! After the heat, can one use Velcro rollers on wigs to lock in the lift & curves.....like one does to bio hair & to quiet the frizzies?
    Your face foundation is flawless.....what foundation do you use?

    hello Denise, , this is not good for HD wigs? and does it curl?

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Рік тому

      I think it could work for HD wigs... it really depends on how much help they need, though, because the heat is quite low on it... and I did see someone curl with it in another video, but I have not been successful with that yet.

    Do you know how sometimes wigs are flat to your head? I would like to see if this would put that little bump or curve in your wig bangs to pull them away from your head and curl them under.

    Can you use a hot comb on a NON heat friendly wig?

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  9 місяців тому +1

      No. A traditional hot comb gets too hot for regular synthetic.

    I grabbed one of these the other day and it just arrived. Sadly I did realize it was only for their brand of wigs - and I don’t own any! 🤦🏻‍♀️ If anybody wants to buy mine, brand new in the box, for a discount, let me know!

      @heywigsister  Рік тому +1

      I as not aware that it is only for their brand of wigs... I don't see why it can't be used on other synthetic wigs.... let me reach out to them and ask.

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  Рік тому +2

      Here wad their reply: Hi Denise, thanks for your question. It can be used on other wigs but it’s to your discretion. We have tested it out on our fibers but the heat of the tool should not damage most of the synthetic wigs on the market. Hope that helps! ❤️
